Malachi's POV

That chick just conned me of my only bribe for the kids. A growl rips from my mouth and I stomp back to the house, Zeke looks up at me.

"Where is she?" His only question.

I turn and head to my office. A few minutes pass before a girl walks in. Without looking up, I speak, "What is it, Martha?"

Martha's auburn hair fans out from her face in beautiful curls, "Alpha?"

I looked up and see her green eyes looking back, "What is it?"

Martha smiles and steps forward. I growl softly, she isn't my mate. She stops and holds out a hand. I turn back to my work. She huffs and speaks, "Zeke wanted me to see if you were alright."

"Well tell Zeke to check himself. Not to send a slut to do his work." I growled at her, the pack slut.

Martha growls out fiercely, "At least I'm not a stuck up bitch li-"

My eyes flashed and I lost control. My wolf took over again, "Get out of my pack." He spoke calmly.

Martha's eyes widen. Not thinking better of it, "Well atleast I would have made a better Luna than your shy slut. She was probably a whore before she even met you."

My wolf couldn't take it, he forced my body to leap over the desk and knock the girl onto her back. Hand gripping her neck.

Martha's eyes widen as my grip on her throat tightens. My wolf growls out, "Your Luna was superior in every way. I loved her. Still do. And you can not compete with her.

Alice's POV

Huffing in annoyance, I pulled the girl along. Tugging her away from the pack and toward the place where Aldrin awaits.

Annie's voice probs at my ear drums and my sanity, "Where are we going? Who are you? Where is Aldrin?"

I hiss, "I'm taking you where you need to go. Now shut the hell up. "

Her eyes widen and she stops. I roll my eyes and try to tug her along. Next thing I know, Annie growls and jerks away.

Annie's pov

One second my eyes focus on something and the next I can't see or feel anything. The wind that whipped my hair around and nipped at my sore skin was gone. I couldn't see the girl that was pulling me along.

Pain shots through my body. My vision has changed. The girl is still there, but I'm short now. I look down and see big black paws with claws.

Taking a step forward feels weird in my new form.

It's pretty easy to get used to, Whitney finally speaks to me again. After so long.

I take a few precarious steps forward. The girl takes a few steps back, startled and confused. She holds her hands up to show she isn't gonna hurt me.

Whitney takes over, turning we dart into the trees. We hear the girl curse, "Dammit! Aldrin is gonna kill me if I lose her,"

Whitney speeds up, the girl right behind us. Whitney's lithe body is quicker and well trained. We easily lose the girl and end up at the cabin. Whitney's nose picks up a few different faint scents. She uses her nose to nudge open the door and slowly enter. The air is stale and dusty.

We need to find somewhere safe, Whitney's voice pipes up.

Whitney's lithe form stalks through the house before settling on the bed in a bedroom upstairs.

Aldrin's pov

Alice better hurry up or I'm gonna send someone else. Akron, my younger brother, steps in. His arm is throw across a boy's shoulder. The boy's eyes glance around quickly, his gaze meets mine before looking away. Akron clears his throat, gaining both of our attention, "Ally, Alice called. She lost her."

I hiss in fury, "I should have known better than to send Alice. Ronnie, prepare yourself. I am sending you to go retrieve Annie," I turn my back to the boys and look at Matthew, "oh and Ronnie, feel free to bring Alice back aswell."

Akron's eyebrow rose but he turned and pulled the other boy along. The boy I recognized as Roy Acher. The next Matthew Graymark.

Roy's POV

The vampire boy agreed not to touch the two kids, Peter and Mark, but only if I would obey him. I'm leaving Isabella to look after the 5 kids, it's not fair to her. He introduced himself as Akron.

Akron dragged me around the place. He explained what each room was for. He caught himself before he ventured into explaining why we were still here. "The kids will leave. The girl will leave. You will leave. The boy won't want to. "

My gaze locked onto him, "What do you mean Matthew won't want to?"

He stopped for a second before looking at me, harshness bubbling through his eyes, "Couldn't you tell? He's different. Hes changed."

My heart dropped. Izzy and Matthew. The unbeatable duo. They were gonna be separated.

"Come on," his harsh tone replacing the indifferent one, "I have to retrieve the girl. "

My eyes looked straight ahead as we walked. The thoughts of the good times with Matthew were already disappearing.

Aldrin's pov

Matthew sat in the single chair, eyes closed. His breathing shallow.

It had been months since the werewolf kids were brought here and Matthew had changed drastically. The boy's skin was feverish and coated in sweat.

His eyes darted beneath his lids. His limbs jerked and his lips parted for the smallest screams.

His birthday hadcome and went. His first shift was upon them. I sighed as I watched the poor boy. I tapped my foot and waited.

By the time Akron had returned with Annie, the shift had come and gone. Annie ran into my arms, squeezing tightly. I ran my fingers through her hair and comforted her. Akron watched from the door, Roy right behind him. Matthew's dead eyes raked over us before settling on the ground.

Annie's tearstained face looked up at me, smiling. "Aldrin...i missed you so much."

Leaning down, my lips met hers in a short kiss. Before we knew it, my hands were on her bare waist. Her hands tangled into my hair. My lips gravitated to her neck. Before my fangs could penetrate, a throat cleared.

Akron.

"I'd love to watch but there are more serious matters than your love life," my brother's harsh tone cut through our haze.

I pulled away from my love and prepared for the kids to return to their pack. The 5 young ones were the easiest. Isabella didn't want to leave without Roy or Matthew. Roy chose to stay. Matthew didn't, couldn't, think twice about the decision.

That evening Isabella returned with the kids and answered questions about the other two boys.
