Annie's pov

I'm sitting at the bar, eating the eggs and bacon that Aldrin prepared for me. Next thing I know Akron and Aldrin have disappeared from the room. A small whisper reaches my ears causing my hearing to perk up.

The only words I catch are 'Ally...she's...human.' I focus my attention on the food the best I can but it doesn't last long as the words sink in.

They are talking about me, like I'm not even here. Just in the other room though Akron looked a little shocked.

Aldrin's pov

Akron pulled me away from the kitchen and into the bedroom. I remember how Father would take him on his trips and introduce him to all kinds of people but Father never took Rosie or I.

"Ally, she's not human, at least not fully. " his eyes wide, and whispers to me in urgency.

I roll my eyes, "Akron, I thought you were better than Father. Of course she is human."

My younger brother glares at me, "Her scent reminds me of Alma's. Alma was a hybrid. A human-were hybrid."

I remember Alma, it was 2 years ago Father took me and Akron to meet her and her pride of werecats. I look at my younger brother for a few moments before nodding slightly, "Just because her scent smells that way doesn't mean it's always accurate. Like that Hunter guy we chased away from Rosie. He smelled of a werewolf but he was only human."

Akron sneers at me, gripping onto his formal and pampered words, "Dear Brother, I know what I smell from her and it isn't just normal 2 breed hybrid. There is more mixed in. I just haven't encountered it before so I don't understand it."

Annie's pov

I pause as I notice a faint ticking. I feel my blood boil for some reason. I get up quickly, knocking over my stool. My vision darkens and my body acts on it's own.

When I come to I realize I have no clue where I am. Surrounded by trees on all sides but behind me. A gasp escapes me as my eyes catch on the beautiful shimmering water of the large lake.

My ears pick up small animals moving in the brush, ignoring them I step forward. As my heel touches the ground, a migraine assaults me. It feels like my brain is being split in two. I double over, clutching my head as a scream slips out.

A hand lands on my shoulder, my body acts on it's own. My hand arches out attempting to slap it away when a sharp intake of breath reaches my ears.

I look up and notice a boy with slicked back black hair and piercing blood red eyes glares at me, clutching his arm to his white buttoned down shirt. A red substance seeps into the fabric from his arm and spreads lower.

Before I know it, I'm holding his arm to my lips. I lick up his blood from the claw marks.

Hello Annie, two female voices speak in unison.

The voices in my head scared the crap out of me but nonetheless I responded.

Who are you? Why are you in my head?!

We are a part of you, Annie. We grew up with you. But decided to not show ourselves at the time. The voice that responded was light and sort of playful.

So why now?

Because you need us now more than ever. This second voice was feminine, soft and velvety.

How do you know? I can't think of anyone or anything that poses a threat to me.

At that precise moment, a throat cleared. A male's voice, "Oh little brother, what did you do?"

The boy jerked away from me, his wound healed but shirt stained beyond saving. The boy sneers, "This animal attacked me. I was only trying to see if she was alright."

"Of course she is fine," the man's eyes looked over me, a smirk pulling at his lips.

I look down only now noticing and just about scream in horror and embarrassment.
