Toni's pov:

I've been having a pretty rough time this week. There's drama at work due to my assistant having to work in the same building as her now ex husband. My sister is getting married to a woman which my parents hate so now they don't want to come to her wedding. Of course I don't mind it though, I'm bisexual myself and will probably get married to a woman as well. It's just all a lot to handle in a week so I have decided to take a nice long walk by myself today.

I've always loved coming to this park, it's probably my favorite thing about New York. I consider myself a very hard working person so it's always nice to get away sometimes.

I'm now walking around the park, smiling at the ducks by the pond, all the nature in general. I'm passing an ice cream truck and see a bench right across from it. But, there's a child there. All alone, looking very sad and eating an ice cream cone. I walked up to her, slowly, not wanting to scare her.

"Hey sweetie, are you here alone?" I asked the sad little girl. She had gorgeous red hair that was in two french braids. She was wearing denim overalls with a yellow long sleeve under them.

"I can't find my mommy" the little girl says, tearing up.

"Awe I'm sorry. Would you like me to help you find her?" I didn't want to come off as creepy, but this little girl shouldn't be here all alone.

She just nodded her head, looking up at me sadly.

"How old are you sweetie?"

"Six"

"Okay well, why don't you come take a walk with me and we'll look for you mother okay"

"Ok"

I gently took her hand and she immediately clung onto my arm, making me smile a little. I've always thought about having kids, I just haven't met the right person yet.

We walked around a little, I pointed out some squirrels which made her smile. We walked around until I saw a woman. A red-heded woman. She looked stressed and angry, yelling into her phone.

"Hey kiddo, does she look familiar to you?" I asked her as I pointed to the woman.

She showed off a bright smile, letting go of my arm and running towards the woman.

"Mommy!"

The lady turned around and sighed deeply, saying one last thing into the phone before placing it into her pocket and picking up the girl.

"Oh my gosh! Sofia!"

I smiled at their little reunion. The woman looked at me and smiled, placing Sofia down. She walked up to me and hugged me tightly, whispering something in my ear.

"Thank you so much"

"Of course"

____________

Five years later

"Get your shoes on Sofia" I said to my daughter, walking into her room.

"Okay but where are we going mom?"

"Somewhere" I smirked, causing her to roll her eyes playfully.

I walked out of her room then into Cheryl and i's room. Cheryl and I got married two years ago. After meeting her through Sofia, we connected in a way. I adopted Sofia soon after. I love them both with my whole heart and wouldn't trade them for the world.

"Hello my beautiful wife" I said to cher when I walked into our room.

"Why hello TT" she smiled at me with that adorable smile and pecked me on the lips.

"Are you ready to go baby?

"Mhm let's go"

_____________

"The ducks are so cute" Sofia said, pointing to a duckling walking behind it's mother.

"They are aren't they" I agreed.

Sofia's eleven now and she's already very mature.

The tree of us sat down at a bench. The same bench I found Sofia at.

"I love you guys so much" I said to them, tearing up a little.

"I love you too momma"

"Love you babe"

Sofia smiled at me then layed her head on my lap, looking at the pond. Cheryl layed hers on my shoulder.

This is my family.
