Toni's pov:
It's been six weeks since that day in the bathroom and I'm proud to say Cheryl and I have been dating for four of those weeks. Secretly of course. She's still not comfortable with coming out and I completely understand that. Especially coming out with the nerd.of the school. She still 'bullies' me at school but I know it's all fake. I think she actually loves me. When we're alone she treats me like a queen and I absolutely love it. She practically lives with me at my house because of how much she stays there.
It's Monday morning 8:34 and Cheryl should be here soon to pick me up. I'm was watching cartoons when I heard a knock on the door. Not just any knock but the knock Cheryl made up so I know it's her before she walks in. I stayed on the couch knowing she would come to me.
"Hey baby" she said to me, coming into the living room and wrapping her arms around me tightly.
"Hi cher" I sighed into her neck. I loved the cherry vanilla perfume she used.
We pulled away and she grabbed my hand softly.
"You ready"
"Yeah just let me get my bag" I said walking around to the other side of the couch and grabbing it.
She grabbed my hand once again and led me out the door with her.

When we got to school we sat in the car for a minute.
"You know that anything wrong I do or say to you doesn't mean anything, right Toni?" She looked at me serious. She does this everyday before school.
"I know cher, it's okay"
"Ugh I just feel terrible"
"Hey"
She was still looking away from me, probably ashamed she had to do these things to me.
"Cher, look at me please" I said calmly.
She looked at me with tears in her eyes. I cupped her face gently and looked her straight in the eye.
"I completely understand. It's so hard coming out and you scared of judgment which is normal. Don't worry about me. I'll be okay"
She took a deep sigh.
"Okay TT"
I smiled at her to which she returned. She kissed my lips softly. It was slow and passionate, just how I loved them.
We pulled away and I let go of her cheeks. I grabbed my bag and stepped out of the car. I go in before her so it doesn't seem suspicious.
I went to my locker and grabbed my history book. I heard the doors open and looked twords them to see Cheryl strutting her normal confident walk to her locker. She had to pass me to get to her English class.
"Sup loser" she said before pushing me into my locker. It wasn't a hard push and she made sure they never hurt me.
She was walking away but stopped when she seen Reggie coming over to me. She turned around to see what was about to happen, as did everyone else in the hall. High schoolers love hallway drama.
I braced myself for whatever was about to happen. Reggie was now standing in front of me. The last thing I saw was his stupid smirk before I was out cold.

Cheryl's pov:
I watched as Reggie walked up to her. I didn't know what he was about to do but when he did it, everyone in the hall was shocked and I was pissed.
Reggie punched Toni so hard she passed out...I didn't even want to know if it was worse then just that.
I stormed up to him and slapped him in his stupid face before rushing to Toni's side, my blood boiling when I saw a bruise on her cheek starting to form and her glasses on the floor beside her.
"What the hell Cheryl?!" Reggie yelled from behind me but I couldn't care less about him right now. Toni wasn't waking up.
"Toni?! Baby wake up! DAMNIT!"
I was freaking out and everyone around us were just watching.
"Will someone please call a fucking ambulance?!"
"Yeah hold on" Betty said as she took out her phone.
I picked her up and held her close to my chest, everyone looking confused as to why I was acting this way twords her.
"Their on their way cher" Betts said.
"TT come on! Wake up please!" I was full on sobbing. I never cry in front of anybody.
The doors were slammed open by the paramedics rushing in. I picked Toni up and helped them get her on the stretcher (idk what they're called).
"C-can I ride with her?" I asked one of them.
"Not unless your related sweetie" she said as they rushed off to the ambulance truck. I ran to my car and quickly started it, speeding out of the parking lot and to the hospital.

Toni's pov:
I woke up, cold and not knowing where I was. I was in a white room and was in a hospital gown. I felt something in my hand so I turned to my left slowly to see Cheryl asleep and her hand intertwined with mine. I squeezed her hand a little, making her head shoot up.
"T-toni?"
"Yeah" I whispered.
"Oh my gosh I didn't think you'd even make it!" She hugged me and I tried to hug back but I didn't have the strength.
"I'm so sorry TT" she cried, sitting back down in the chair next to my bed.
"Babe you didn't cause this" I said confused.
"But I didn't stop it" she said sadly.
"Cheryl you didn't know he would hit me, please don't beat yourself up about it"
"Okay"
She looked at me for a second. It looked like she was contemplating on weather she should say something.
"T-toni..I think i- I love you" she said while looking down. I didn't think she'd say it first honestly.
"You really don't need to say it back or abythin-"
"I love you too Cheryl Blossom"
