Knowledge teleported away from the Shadowlight Court. He felt confident that Forgo would make sure Hope and Livius would be safe. There was also Ritter who was taking care of the two. All of them would be able to take care of things while he was away.

He nodded to himself rather happily. He had made the right choice going to the Shadowlight Court. If he had gone back to Aeria, Guardian would have molded them into soldiers for his own personal army. There was more in the world than wars to be understood.

The white werewolf appeared in front of a cabin that was right by a small lake. A forest started behind the small two-story cabin. The clouds were covering the sun high up in the sky. He smelled the air and took in the wilderness surrounding him. It was calming for his soul, there was so much peace out here. He wished that the outside world would also share that.

Approaching the small cabin, Knowledge's ears went back. He hoped that he would be welcomed. There was nobody else that he could ask help from. The one night when the shades had come and attacked the Court was on his mind. He couldn't think of what would have happened to Hope if he arrived too late. The words failure echoed in his head. He shook them away. Guardian had never been kind to him.

He knocked on the door softly and waited outside keeping his ears open for any sound. There came a few sounds from inside that alerted that one of them was home at very least.

The door opened up. A brown furred werewolf shorter than he was poked her muzzle out. Her green eyes squinted up at Knowledge with suspicion.

"What is it that you want?" The brown werewolf growled not opening the door any wider for him.

"There's something I wish to ask of the two of you..." Knowledge tried to look inside to see if someone else was inside as well. "Is Susi around?"

"She might be." The werewolf opened the door bit wider. After the two were standing still for another moment, the werewolf sighed. "Fine, come in before you take all the heat from inside."

Knowledge ducked his head in. The inside was bigger than what the outside let it out to be. The ceiling was all the way up to the roof. Lights were in the middle of the ceiling which brightened up the cabin. A faint smell of warm cookies surrounded Knowledge. There were stairs that led up but only on the sides. A loft was above them where he figured Susi was located.

"Susi! We have a stray here!" The brown werewolf walked over to a couch and flopped down crossing her arms and sitting cross legged looking up at the loft area.

"Miranda, be nicer to him." A darker brown colored werewolf came down the stairs, she spread her arms towards Knowledge for a hug. The two embraced for a brief moment. Susi's tail moved happily behind her. "It's good to see you, Knowledge. It has been a while since I last saw you."

"Yeah, like when Almond was alive back in the day." Miranda muttered looking away from the two.

Susi placed her hands at her hips.

"You make it seem like it has been a long time. Be more thoughtful! Her death wasn't his fault-"

"It seems so since he decided to drop all communication once we heard the news! Anyways, I'm not blaming him for her death." Miranda shrugged and then decided to get up and go upstairs. "I'm not having anything to do with this, whatever the reason you came. If I know things, it's not good."

Susi and Knowledge watched the other werewolf disappear. The dark brown werewolf shook her head.

"I'm sorry that you had to witness that, Knowledge. Here, come sit down. How may I help you?" Susi guided him towards the couch where Miranda had sat moments ago. The white werewolf gulped, he was used to being accused of doing something he hadn't done. People not being friendly to him was also what he was used to. I deserve it, he thought grimly. He'd take the punishments that were thrown at him in any form.
