"Thank you so much! We love you all! Have a good night!" The stage beneath the boys began to lower as they waved goodbye to the crowd. I stood backstage watching as the platform fully lowered and the boys stepped off.
Louis and Liam both stepped off of the platform first, soaking wet from their water fight they had just before their last song. Zayn, Harry, and Niall stepped off soon after. We began to jog back to the car as we did after every concert.
"I'm starving." Harry groaned climbing into the backseat. "Can we go get some food?" Zayn, Liam, and Louis all nodded their heads in agreement.
"I'm not that hungry," I say. "Can you drop me off at the hotel?" I ask the driver.
"I'm getting pretty tired too so I might head back to the hotel with Diana." Niall yawns.
"Who are you and what have you done with Niall?" Harry sasses. "Niall would never pass up an opportunity to get food." Harry turns around in his seat and eyes Niall suspiciously.
Zayn, Louis, and Harry are all sitting in the second row while Niall, Liam, and I are squeezed into the third row.
Louis nudges Harry's arm with his elbow and nods towards the backseat. Harry didn't seem to understand what Louis meant when he nudged his arm and he turned to look at Louis with a confused look which was just returned with a slight headshake. Harry turned forward again and didn't say anything after that.
I didn't bother trying to understand what Louis meant and why Harry had shut up, I was too distracted by how close I was to Niall. I sat wedged between Niall and Liam. Liam had decided to spread his legs apart forcing me closer to Niall but I didn't mind.
Out of all of the boys in the band, I had always felt different when I was around Niall. But, different in a good way. Whenever I was around him, I couldn't stop myself from smiling. I get butterflies every time I am around him. Niall is so sweet and has the most contagious laugh it is hard not to be happy around him. I was captivated by his blonde hair and his blue eyes that I swear I could get lost in all day. It was almost impossible to not fall for him.
I couldn't fall for Niall. No. He's one of my best mates and I don't want any feeling that I have for him to cause me to lose him. Not to mention he is also one of Harry's best friends and I can't risk any relationship that I have with Harry for a boy who doesn't even like me back. I just don't want things to change or be uncomfortable just because of my stupid crush. But was it just a crush?
I shake these thoughts out of my head as we pull up to the hotel. Niall and I both climb out of the car and wave as the boys drive off to some restaurant they had agreed on in the car. I was too distracted by my thoughts to hear what restaurant it was.
"Hey, Diana do you want to come to hang out in my room for a bit?" Niall asks me as we near our rooms.
"I thought you said you were tired?"
Niall brings his hand up to rub the back of his neck and heat rises to his cheeks.
"Umm.. yeah I was but the lads arguing woke me up I guess." Niall shrugged.
"Oh." I respond, "Sure let me just go get changed really quickly and I will meet you in your room."
(Niall's POV)
I jump slightly at the knock coming from my door. I stand up and wipe my palms on my black skinny jeans in an attempt to remove the sweat from my hands. My hand meets the doorknob and I open the door to see Diana standing there in a pair of grey sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt. Her hair was pulled back and twisted into a clip on the back of her head.
