Tsukishima excused himself during class to refill his water tumbler from the dispenser located at the end of the hall. He yawned as he stepped out of the back door of the class and closed it behind him.

Yet again, Tsukishima felt bored. Recently, it has come to his attention that whenever he got to school and the teacher entered the classroom, an overwhelming feeling of tiredness engulfs him almost immediately even though he got plenty of sleep the night before. He would try to stay awake, but even if he did, his attention would focus on something else other than the teacher talking in front.

This time, he almost dozed off during history: the subject with a strict and observant teacher who was a woman in her mid 40's. This was a class that nobody would want to fall asleep in. One time, a classmate of his slept during the subject. He was ordered to stand up the entirety of the class until the bell rang and was asked to go to detention after.

The tall blond thought he needed to wake himself up before he slips up in class. So he used his empty water tumbler as an excuse to head out the dreaded classroom and shake the tiredness off of his body.

After refilling his water tumbler, he almost didn't want to go back. He took the time to walk slowly, despite being told that he should make it quick. As he did so, his eyes wandered through the window and spotted a familiar figure outside.

On the track field, (Y/N) stood alongside a couple of her classmates as they watched the others run some laps from the side. From the looks of it, he figured that it must be her p.e class.

As he watched her talk to Yachi, his mind went back to yesterday's events.

From first glance, (Y/N) seemed quiet. She was someone who gets visibly nervous when someone unfamiliar speaks to her yet she somehow manages to respond normally, sometimes with a few stutters here and there. Kei was entirely sure that she was the kind of person who avoids interacting with people first. But oh did it surprise him when she made the first move and call out to him in the middle of a slightly busy hallway.

He hadn't really thought of a plan to get her closer to him. Though he wanted to.

He really wanted to

Tsukishima was thinking if he should stick to Yamaguchi's side as much as possible and wait until they bump into each other again. Though a part of him was impatient and debated that it would only waste his time. He was almost close to formulating a plan - That is, until their unexpected and fateful meeting yesterday. The tall blond didn't even have to do anything to get her to talk to him again.

(Y/N) already did it herself

It was as though luck was on his side. And thanks to her, he found an opportunity

When the batch they were watching was done running, their teacher gestured other students to go next by pointing at the starting lines and blowing the whistle. (Y/N) came forward along with Yachi and four others while she tied her (H/C) hair up, exposing the nape of her neck.

He watched as she took her place on the third lane while the others took the remaining lanes. Not long after, the coach blew the whistle and everybody dashed. (Y/N) continued to run, passing by Yachi and another girl. But after a few seconds it seems as though her stamina had reached its peak and she started slowing down into a jog.

Kei's eyes found themselves shifting down on her chest. Each time she took a step to jog caused them to ever so slightly bounce.

"Oi, Tsukishima."

Tsukishima's head snapped at the direction of the voice. Kageyama walked towards his direction from a few feet, holding a pile of notebooks supported by both of his hands. Kei was so fixated on (Y/N) that he didn't even realize he had stopped in his tracks, let alone sense Kageyama's presence.

"Huh?" Tsukishima raised his brows innocently, "Oh, It's the King. What do you want?" He collected himself while putting on his usual flat expression, making it seem as if he wasn't just staring at a pair of breasts.

"Nothing. Just passing by,"
Kageyama's pace halted when he had reached the blond, "And I've told you many times to stop calling me that. What are you doing here anyway?" Tsukishima could sense a hint of annoyance in his voice, but it quickly ceased.

"None of your business."

Kageyama gave him a weird look and adjusted his hands under the notebooks. "Whatever. See you around." He then continued walking, passing by the tall blond.

"Kageyamaaaa!"

Tasukishima's attention turned towards the loud voice coming from the left side of the corridor. Hinata's figure suddenly came into view as he sprinted in Kageyama's direction, elbowing the male's back before he had the chance to turn around. He staggered forward and dropped a few notebooks on the floor.

"Ow-!" Kageyama hissed, turning to Hinata as he balanced himself, "What the hell?!"

"I know you stole it!"

"Stole what?!"

"My pen!" Hinata exclaimed, mirroring Kageyama's angered expression, "I saw you writing with it during English!"

"Huh?! All that fuss for a pen?!"

"Just admit that you took it!"

"That was my pen you airhead!" The raven haired fumed, "And if I were to steal one, I wouldn't think of stealing from an idiot like you!"

"You!-" Hinata stopped himself from throwing an insult at Kageyama and took notice of Tsukishima, who was already headed to his classroom.

"Ah, Tsukishima!"

"Shut up," He mumbled in annoyance, not having the energy to turn around and face them, "Don't involve me in your stupid quarrel." Out of nowhere, Hinata ran up in front of him as he spread his arms across the air to prevent him from going elsewhere.

"Waaaait!"

Tsukishima lowered his head to look at the loud boy and narrowed his eyes, "Oi, get out of my way, shrimp. I'm late for class."

From behind him, Kageyama's orders and curses at Hinata to pick up the notebooks on the floor could be heard, but the boy only seemed to ignore him. Hinata bowed exaggeratedly,

"Tsukishima! Please help us study for the test!"

"...No."

"Please!"

"No."

"Please!!"

"I said no," The tall blond scowled, fighting the urge to hit him with the water tumbler on his hand, "What don't you understand?"

Hinata fixed himself up and frowned, "Oh, come on! I'll do your homework for two weeks!" He told him, "No, a month!"

Tsukishima remained silent. He quietly looked out the window where he spots (Y/N) yet again, dabbing a face towel on her forehead and neck as the beads of sweat on her (S/C) skin made it seem as if she glimmered under the warm rays of the afternoon sun.

"Sorry," Tsukishima replied with a small shrug, "You should've told me sooner. Someone already beat you to it."
