I don’t remember what the argument was about. I assume it was the same old Ayat doesn’t listen to me. My son-in-law Madhav never looses his temper but when he does it's scary.
He looks like death reborn.
Ayat refused to do something, her mother started yelling. It disturbed his work. He walked towards them in madness. His wife instantly silenced out. Ayat continued yelling
“No, no, no. I won’t, I won’t, I wont"
That was it. He hit her. Ayat eyes filled with rage
“Is that all? You can continue hitting me papa. I’m used to it"
At this point Madhav usually walked away, threatening her on his way out. But that day was different. It struck a chord in him. A bad one. Our dog Bruno already hid behind the chair. He knew if he intervened he’d be used as an example to school Ayat. It had happened before
He continued hitting her over and over again. This time I intervened.
I didn’t know what would happened if I didn’t.
3 days later
Ayat hadn’t spoken to a soul. She kept jumping every time a loud sound occurred. She looked meek and scared.
Madhav walked into the room and apologized. I think he realized he crossed the line. Ayat jumped when he touched her shoulder. She didn’t even look at him. She didn’t talk to him. It was more out of fear than anger.
But he apologized, so I know he wouldn’t do what he did again
5 days later
Ayat started jumping and squealing again. I think she’s fine now
