Taking a deep breath, you knock on Julie's bedroom door. You didn't want to do this but it was the right thing.
"Yeah?" Julie called from her bed expecting one of the boys to walk in but instead, you did. You didn't talk to her much so it came as a surprise that you were up here.
"Hey Y/N, what are you doing here? You aren't usually here?" She says thinking something was wrong. She never really got to know you very well since you started disappearing so quickly.
"Nothing wrong, I just wanted to give you something." You say as you make the guitar appear in your hand before handing to Julie. "I want you to have it, I'm not using it and I don't want it to go to waste so here."
"You know you don't have to do this right?" Julie says looking at you with a skeptical stare. She knew what this guitar meant to you so why we're you giving it to her?
"I know it just feels like it's for the best." You say smiling before walking back out of her room leaving the confused girl behind. Luke had told her that he gave you the guitar for your 16th birthday. He said it was 'something special' between you two.
Heading out to the garage, Julie started to wrack her brain for any explanation as to why you would give her it. Opening the door, she was greeted by the 3 male ghosts waving at her with a smile, but you were nowhere to be found.
"Hey, has Y/N seemed weird to you recently?" She asked the boys hoping that one of them had known why you would do something like this.
"No, she hasn't been around much since we got back" Reggie said as the 3 of them shook their heads. Their faces dropped slightly as they saw Julie's expression and Reggie started to frown as he saw the instrument in her left hand. "Why do you have Y/N's guitar?"
"That's why I asked, she just gave it to me. She said it was what 'felt right'. Luke told me what this meant to them, why would she give it to me?" Julie asked desperately trying to find an answer. She watched as Luke's face dropped wondering why you would give up something so special.
"I think I know," Alex spoke up from the piano bench. "She's gonna hate me for saying this but I think she's jealous of Julie and when she gets jealous, she tends to stay away from the thing that she's jealous of." He continued as he watched Julie's fave drop. You were jealous of her, she never tried to make you feel like that, is it because you think she's replacing you in the band?
"She's jealous of me? Does she think I'm replacing her?" Julie says while looking down. Alex began to think of how he's going to explain this to them.
"Yes, but not for the reason you think. She was there the day Reggie said that you had the voice of an angel, we never said anything like about her while she was in the room. She knew that Luke was giving you guitar lessons. She and Luke used to sing there for hours just messing around with cords, but no Luke doesn't even really acknowledge her. When we would mess around with lyrics and 'practice' when we first got here, she would walk by but never come it. I don't think it's about you replacing her on the band. I think she thinks we replaced her with you."
As Alex finished, he looked around. Reggie knew it was true but he didn't want to admit it. They have been neglecting you I mean all of the things they do with Julie, they used to do with you. Now even when you were there, they didn't seem to notice you.
"I think I know where she is" Luke said with a sad look on his face. You and he used to go to a place where only you two knew and talk.
"Go find her, and tell her I can't take the guitar." Julie said putting down the instrument in her hand as Luke poofed out.
Luke found you exactly where he thought. Sitting on the edge of a cliff not far from his old house dangling your feet over the edge.
"You gave Julie your guitar?" He questions not knowing how else to start the conversation. Turning around you smiled at him, knowing he could see your swollen eyes from you crying.
"Yeah, she deserves it and I'm not using it so I said what the hell." You say scooting over a little so he could sit down. Luke pulled you to him, giving you the first proper hug you've had in years.
"Alex told us about you being jealous. Why didn't you just talk to us? We may not be the greatest friends right now but we never meant to hurt you." He said pulling away slightly to look at you while you answer. You knew they never meant to hurt you but once your brain starts thinking it doesn't stop.
"I know, it was hard for me. I mean I love you guys but you can be idiots sometimes. It hurt to think that you guys didn't need me anymore. " You say trying not to cry again.
"We will always need you, trust me Alex has been trying to keep Reggie safe for days, he doesn't know how you do it. Also, Julie said he's can't take your guitar." He said as you leaned into him.
