Syria scrambled up, out of Andrew's grip. She screamed and banged her fists against the wooden door.
"No! I'm not going to let you hurt ANYBODY!" Syria screamed at the door. She knew he could no longer hear her. She was sinking, after all.
She was sinking. She may never see her family ever again.
Tears formed up in her eyes, in large groups. Collecting more and more members.
She let them roll down her cheeks.
"Syria..." Andrew said. He walked up to her, arms held out. She crumpled in them.
She cried, for what felt like hours. And at sometimes, Andrew cried too. They didn't know how to get back, and they probably weren't going to be able to get back.
They were never going to see their friends anymore. No more late night talks on the patio. No more stars. And that just made Syria cry even harder.
After an hour, they stopped sinking. They both felt it.
Syria sniffed and looked up. Yep, they stopped sinking.
She got up and opened the door with ease. But only a crack.
She saw they were in a cave. Or, they were literally, under ground.
"You've gotta come see this!" She told Andrew.
He shuffled over and gasped. "What the...?"
"I don't know. I don't even know what day it is anymore... It feels like we've been in here for hours, when in reality... It could be more or less."Andrew walked over to the boxes. When he looked inside, he gasped. "Woah!" Syria walked over to where he was. It was definitely "woah".
