4. Calum?...

Calum... What a strange name... I like it though. It sounds unique. God I can't get that name out of my head! I've been drawing little sketches of his name and I can't stop. He just seemed so... Different. But in a good way I guess... I wonder what he's doing right now?... Imagine if he's thinking about me!? Wouldn't that be awesome!

As I'm walking outside I spot my mom's Range Rover and run towards it trying to avoid Austin. What an embarrassment! The whole school saw what happened because of the idiots who were recording! Syndir even saw the video cause some girl sent her the video. She was going on a rampage but I was able to calm her down telling her about Calum. She seemed a bit confused at first cause she kept on asking me if that was REALLY his name. She finally believed me after a few more times of telling her that it was indeed his name. I guess she might have also thought it was a weird name to hear?...

"Hey Violet! How was your day?" My mom asked once I reached the car door and hopped inside.

"It could've been better..." I said sighing and looking out the window.

"What do you mean? What happened?" She asked with a worried tone.

"Just some kids... They were being annoying that's all."

"Well this only happened once so I'm sure it won't happen again." Oh please! You don't even know the half of it!

"Yeah..." Was all I could say.

"Come on Violet. There had to be something else exciting right? I saw a smile on your face while you were walking out of school. That's rare to see."

I laughed a little and turned to face her. "Well... There was this... Guy involved."

"Ooo. A boy huh? Was he good looking?"

"Aww mom don't start!" I hid my face in my hands trying to cover the blush that was starting to appear on my face.

"Alright let's hear it. Name, description. You gotta give me some details here!"

"Ok to start of, his name's Calum and-"

"Wait wait. What did you say?"

"His name's Calum. I know it's weird but I kind of like-"

"Calum? As in C-a-l-u-m Calum?"

"Uh I don't know I think that's how you spell it..." She pursed her lips and looked forward as if she was thinking really hard about something. First Syndir... Then my mom... I'm confused...

"Mom is there something your not-"

"Violet don't worry about it." She starts driving out of the school parking lot with a serious face. First she was all giddy and now she's serious. Does someone care to explain?...

"What's so bad with-"

"Violet I don't wanna talk about it."

"What do you mean you don't wanna talk about it? You can't just-"

"Violet enough!!" I frowned dropping the subject. Why is she getting so angry at me when she's the one avoiding this!? I sat back on my seat and crossed my arms across my chest. Why does she have to be such a- Such a- Ugh!

I just couldn't wait until I got home to do some reading and get my mind off of this. I'll find out why she's acting like this... But in the mean time... I wonder what Calum's doing?...
