Luke didn't remember much after Tan left him on the street. He knew he got home and passed out, but he suppose that Calix may have seen him because the Alpha came into his room the next morning with coffee and an annoyed look.
"Good morning, boss," Luke mumbled, grabbing his cup of coffee and taking a long drink. "Are you here to yell at me, beat me, or is there a third option I haven't considered or experienced?"
Calix rolled his eyes. "Well, you walked in here before your shift was over after attacking Kai, so I was going to lecture you, but I doubt you'll listen."
"I'm a great listener," Luke said, getting out of bed before grabbing the pillow and covering himself. "Sorry, I forgot that I sleep naked."
"Yeah... put your pants on, breakfast is almost ready," Calix said, but Luke didn't move to put on clothes and instead sat back down on the bed and covered his waist with the comforter. "Tan's downstairs."
That got Luke's attention and he leapt out of bed, ignoring Calix telling him to wait until he left, and threw on his clothes. He then grabbed the sweatshirt that he knew Tan loved to steal the most and sprinted past Calix, nearly knocking the Alpha down.
"He's not going anywhere," Calix called, but he was ignored once again.
Luke slipped as he reached the stairs and tumbled down them, shrieking as it happened. He ended up at the bottom of the stairs, whimpering as bruises began to form all over his body.
"Uh, Tan?" Kegan's voice called. "You've got a little problem over here."
"That problem can drag himself over here," Tan responded, making Luke let out a loud, pitiful whine to get Tan's attention. "You're the one who didn't watch where you were stepping!"
"I'm in anguish!" Luke yelled, dramatically laying his hand over his head.
"Mika said he's still a little upset and is going to continue to ignore you," Tiberius said, and from his tone, Luke could tell that he agreed with and supported Tan's choice.
Luke huffed and got up, dragging his feet as he went over to the breakfast table. He sat down heavily, wincing and grabbing his lower back, being much more dramatic than he needed to be.
"If it hurts then go get ice and an Advil," Tan said, picking off bits of muffin.
"I just had a traumatic fall," Luke said, trying to grab Tan's muffin but he was met with an angry growl from his mate. "Will you go get me ice? Pretty please?"
Tan narrowed his eyes but he hopped up, making sure to take his muffin with him. He caught the annoyed look on Luke's face, bringing a smile to his own.
"Baby, don't stand up!" Calix fretted as Kegan attempted to get up. "What do you need, I'll get it for you!"
"I could use a muffin," Luke said, blowing a kiss to Calix.
The Alpha growled. "You're not my mate or a pregnant pack mate. Get your own muffin."
Luke sighed, turning in his chair when a muffin slapped him in the face.
"Sorry! That was a lot harder that I expected!" Tan shrieked, rushing over with his mate and checking his face. "I swear I didn't mean you hurt you!"
Grabbing Tan's hands, Luke looked up at him. "I'm fine," he said, smiling at his mate. "Relax, you didn't hurt me."
"Here's your ice," Tan said, handing it to him.
"How did you throw that so damn hard?" Luke asked, surprised by how a muffin hit him hard enough to actually hurt.
