I'm so sorry for not updating and un-publishing chapter eight, I realized there was a big gap in the middle of the chap so I had to write it again. Also I'm a bit busier these days so I might not update on time and I'm really sorry for that, but again I promise not to discontinue this.
Zeus's POV
I gritted my teeth in annoyance. This was probably another scheme of Annabeth and Perseus. I remembered fighting the dracaena, then passing out with my adrenaline fading. Why couldn't they just give me a break? I need to find the Apples of Immortality.
I scrambled up, desperately trying to escape from this horrid school, but the teacher (at least she looked like a teacher) caught my wrist. "Not so fast, Mr. Latrommi." She eyed me worriedly, and I just glared at her out of the corner of my eye. But then I met her sharp, blue eyes and couldn't help but look away.
The other girl, Rebecca, scrambled to her feet. "Zak!" Apparently, she thought my name was Zak, no doubt manipulated by the Mist into her memories. "You okay? Who mugged you?"
I blinked. But before I could answer, the teacher interrupted her. "Not now, he's probably still dazed from the blood he's lost. Mr. Latrommi, please return quietly and swiftly to your classroom. Rebec—Ms. Fleur, please take Mr. Latrommi back, and you go back too. It was a pleasure teaching you, Ms. Fleur."
"You too, Ms. Comfrey." Rebecca gave a reassuring smile, then proceeded to drag me back to the so-called classroom. I tried to wiggle out of her grasp, but she held a firm grip on me. "C'mon, Zak, we have to get to history class. The professor is going to be so mad."
I stopped struggling, seeing it was no use. I let my 'friend' drag me across the confusing hallways and into a corridor. We reached a door that had a sign that said, HISTORY CLASS, which, I suppose, was sufficient. Rebecca knocked on the door and swung it open, with twenty something people on the other side. But that wasn't the thing that freaked me out. It was the people that freaked me out.
Poseidon, Hera, Demeter and Hermes sat in the front row, all their expressions shocked. Aphrodite linked hands with Hephaestus and grinned, while nudging Hades and Apollo on the side. Hestia gave me a warm smile, and on her left was Dionysus sleeping, and on her right was Athena, who looked bored, and the rest were people I didn't know.
Of course we had to be in the same school, landing there at the same damned time, sitting in the same damned classroom learning the same damned things! If I had to guess, I would bet a hundred drachmas and a hundred denarii that we had the same damn schedule.
Rebecca dragged me to the empty seats and pushed me down forcefully. My butt hit the cold, plastic chair and I nearly jumped up again. Rebecca eyed me before taking a slip out of her pocket. "Sorry, Professor," Rebecca was saying. "Zak got mugged and had to go the infirmary."
Probably not a coincidence, but I was sitting next to Athena, who nudged me and gave me a 'You were mugged? How come I didn't know?' look. I just shot her a glare, but she didn't flinch, instead glared right back. My throat bubbled as we had a silent staring contest.
Finally, she won and I gave in, blinking the tears out of my burning eyes, while Athena didn't even look tired as her stormy grey eyes met mine. "So?" Athena demanded quietly, her breath lingering on my nose. I nearly gagged as the strong scent of olives hit my nose. "What happened?"
