Aphrodite/Allá's POV

The bright sunlight hit me in the face through the window, temporarily blinding my vision. Black spots danced in my vision as I stumbled back, nearly hitting the table. Thankfully, Hephaestus caught me before I could do anything embarrassing. I shot him a grateful look and stood up straight.

Sally brushed off her apron and gave us all a bright smile. But hidden behind her eyes was a layer of suspicion, as if she didn't trust us. Honestly, I wouldn't trust us either. Rebecca and Roth seemed oblivious to the wariness Sally was giving off, though.

Though something was telling me that Rebecca should be more aware than she was right now. Her aura...it didn't seem like a normal mortal's. Her blinding white aura pulsed with energy, unlike any I've felt before. I was convinced she was different...but yet she wasn't. Enough of her, back to the present.

Hades leaned on the table with Apollo by his side. Again, a streak of silver light flashed between them. I'd been seeing that silver light since Will and Nico got together. I supposed it was some kind of love bond, but since Hades loved Persephone with every piece of his cold, black, and dark heart, they were platonic.

Zeus glared outside the window, his lips moving so fast I couldn't even decipher what he was mumbling. Though I suppose it wasn't pretty. Hera was chatting surprisingly with Sally, as she seemed to get along with her already, while Hermes and Dionysus were reaching for the cookies on the table.

Athena was introducing Hestia to Rebecca, and vice versa, while Roth made conversation with Demeter. Roth didn't seem like the type of guy to be talkative, as the same with Demeter (unless you count her arguing with Hades about Persephone and cereal), but again, they got along.

Just then, Paul Blofis walked in, holding a computer in hand and carrying a baby girl in the other. The name Estelle flashed in my mind, and I think it was the name of Percy's little sister? She was so cute! I sighed on the outside, but on the inside I squealed internally.

"Oh, hi!" Paul seemed confused, then frowned when he saw us lot. He glanced around the room, then his gaze landed on Rebecca and Roth. "Back again to check on Estelle and the cookies?" Paul asked jokingly. His tone made it sound like they visited a lot of times before.

"Partly, yes." Rebecca flicked her hand, auburn hair flying over her shoulder and landing perfectly on the other side. She started braiding it and continued. "But my friend Zak, and my new friend Aurelia, well, they're all adopted and don't have a place to live so I was wondering if you and Sally would take them in?"

Sally gave a strained smile. Golden light flashed in her face, and I soon realized it was ichor running in her veins. "Of course! Anything for you, my dear. Anyways, I'm going to, um, clean up the bedrooms above. Help yourselves to the cookies, and if you can, please help take care of Estelle as well, thank you!"
