Apollo/Fred's POV

Dionysus sat back down, looking shaken. After the big show of his eyes rolling to the back of his head and him having a seizure, I was definitely sure that he was not okay. I wondered if that was his punishment? But why? I did recall that he voted for them to live?

A terrifying thought rushed through my head. What if...he was punished not because of this war, but because of previous wars? As I recalled, once again, during the second Giant War, Jason and Percy both fought the giants Otis and Ephialtes, Dionysus just sat there and did nothing.

I swallowed. I didn't help much in the wars, either. The only part of the second Titan war I helped was where Percy went to save my dear sister —I choked while thinking that— and his love, Annabeth. I mentioned how they should travel to Mexico, disguised as Fred.

Was this some sort of joke? Or perhaps a prank? To give me the mortal name of which I was when I helped them on their quest? I had seen parts of the future quite so many times, and I knew enough to say that this wasn't a coincidence.

Every one of us gods had sins, but the one with the most less was no other than Hades. He may have tried to kill both Thalia Grace and Percy Jackson, but he had a reason to. His brothers broke the oath that they made him swear. And he didn't even break it, either.

Everyone thought that he kidnapped Persephone. Well, yes, he did, but after a while, he did let Persephone roam free. He even tried an apology by offering to break the tie from her to the Underworld using his powers. But Persephone herself had denied that and agreed to live with him.

Cold air brushed past my cheeks. A chill ran down my spine, giving off a bad feeling. I had done many things wrong, flaying Marsyas alive, infecting the Greeks with a terrible plague, striking down the innocent (not really) cyclops's...what have I done?

Time flew past me as the bell rang yet again. Nobody noticed my discomfort, except for Hera. And Aphrodite and Hades, for that matter, but Aphrodite didn't need to worry anymore, as she was an immortal, and Hades committed nearly no crimes.

My stepmother stepped towards me and glanced around with her warm, yet manipulative brown eyes. "So you've understood." Hera stood tall and regal, yet her face remained passive. Black hair drifted down her shoulders, and a look of melancholy washed over her.

"We are meant to be punished," I whispered in understanding. "All of us. This is not some sort of test, that we have to prove, go on a quest to regain our godhood, none of those. We were turned mortal because of that, so we are to suffer."

Fear struck my heart, deep and true. There was no telling what they could do to us. We were vulnerable, weak, off-guard. They could strike at any moment and we wouldn't be able to stop it.

Even if I knew Percy and Annabeth wouldn't do anything too harsh, the others held grudges against us gods. Nico could torture any one of us and not bat a single eyelash. Piper could charmspeak us without consequences. Katie could bury us under plants and we would be helpless to stop it.
