Rebecca's POV

When I saw Allá running towards me, I immediately heard a voice in my head say, "I'm fast as f*ck boy." I know, I'm weird, but it's just how I roll. Silky blonde hair bounced in the air as she approached me. For some reason, she reminded me of the goddess Aphrodite, with her graceful beauty, but yet she is a lot more violent.

Allá pounced in front of me and stopped. Sweat glinted on her forehead as she hugged Stella tightly. "Hey, Rebecca, can I borrow you for a second?" I was both confused and suspicious, but nodded and followed her into an empty room.

"What is it?" I eyed her suspiciously, my eyes glowing. Allá studied me closely, while Stella giggled and blew spit bubbles. The way Allá was looking at me was...unnerving. As if I was a puzzle for her to solve. Which I wasn't, I'm pretty sure, 'cause I was an open book.

"It's time I told you the truth...you're an Egyptian Magician."

I blinked. "Say whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?"

Allá bit her lip. "Yeah, it's true. You know Greek and Roman mythology? It exists, right?" I nodded slowly, trying to swallow the information. The girl continued. "Well, Egyptian mythology exists too, apparently. And they don't have demigods like us Greeks and Romans; they have magicians."

"Wait, wait, wait, hold up." I held up my hands and placed my index finger out, then tapped it with my other hand. "First of all, how do you know this?" I stuck out another finger. "Second of all, why are you suddenly sure I'm a magician?" I shot out a 'three' gesture and tapped all three fingers. "And why did you say 'us Greeks and Romans'?"

Allá looked like she'd been struck by one of Eros's arrows, except she was dumbstruck, not lovestruck. "Um..." I arched an eyebrow at her, and she groaned. "There's no use hiding it now, since I messed up really badly...but you have to swear on the Styx—no, swear on Percy and Annabeth's names that you won't tell anyone until they've passed their test."

Who's they? I wondered. But Allá's expression was so serious, I couldn't help but feel like this test was important, way more important than I might think it was. "Alright," I agreed slowly. "I swear on Percy and Annabeth's names that I won't tell anyone about this secret until they've passed the test."

Thunder rumbled in the distance, even if it was a bright sunny day. Lightning crashed in the house rigth next to me and I shrieked. Waves and waves of acid rolled onto our base, while the wind swept people off their feet. But before it could do any damage, they faded away, just for me to realize it was a vision.

Allá exhaled the breath she had been holding onto. "Great. So, as you might know, there was a war recently with the Primordials. After the new Rulers of the Universe — let's just call them Percabeth — won, they decided that the gods with wronging must redeem themselves by becoming mortal. And that's us."

I frowned, then it clicked. A gasp tore from my throat. "You mean—?"

"Yes," Allá confirmed. "The Latrommi's, other known as my family, are the Olympian gods from Olympus, turned mortal and cast down to earth." She swept her arms out and shrugged. "So I guess, here we are, our powers diluted to the point until we're like demigods."
