Chapter 19

Next day morning Eliza slowly opened her eyes to see her head placed on Zach's chest as his arms wrapped around her tightly.

"What the hell, Zach?!" Eliza yelled, making Zach groan as he lazily opened his eyes to look at her.

"What?" Zach asked cluelessly before he yawned and closed his eyes as his arms tightened around her making her unable to move from his grasp.

"ZACHARY DEAN HERRON! GET YOUR LAZY ASS UP BEFORE I KICK YOU OFF MY BED!" Eliza yelled once again making Zach's eyes snapped open this time.

"What?" Zach groaned.

"What the heck are your arms doing around me?" Eliza glared at Zach making him quickly loosen his arms around her as he let her go.

"I'm sorry." Zach apologized.

"You're going to sleep on the floor tonight onwards." Eliza said and sat on the bed. But then she noticed that he wasn't the one who had passed the pillow boundaries. Eliza looked at Zach who just figured out the same. A devilish smirk appeared on his face, making Eliza groan this time.

"Looks like you're the one who can't keep your paws off me." Zach sang and winked.

"Whatever." Eliza rolled her eyes dramatically before she got off the bed between Zach's wolf whistles.

Zach walked downstairs to see Jonah and Elsa sitting at the table for breakfast.

"Where's Eliza?" Zach asked them.

"Went for a walk." Elsa said. "Come and have breakfast."

"Did she eat?" Zach asked.

Jonah and Elsa shook their head signaling no.

"I'll eat after she eats." Zach said, giving them a smile. "Do you have any idea where she went?"

"There is a park-" Jonah started.

"St. Andreas park?" Zach asked cutting him off.

"Yep. That one." Jonah grinned.

"Alright. I'll be back with her." Zach said before he walked out of the house. It was the park where he took her for their first date. It only took 5 minutes for him to drive to the park from the apartment.

He pulled out the car in the parking lot and got out of the car. He walked into the park and spotted Eliza sitting on the bench they used to sit on their first date. She was gazing at the lake and he saw a small smile in the corner of her lips.

"Let me guess. You're thinking about me, huh?" Zach asked as he sat beside her making her snapped out of her gaze and come back to reality.

"When are you going to stop stalking me?" Eliza asked, rolling her eyes.

"You already know the answer. Come home with me." Zach shrugged.

"You're an idiot." She shook her head slowly before she got up to leave.

"Ah!" She screamed in pain suddenly as she held her right leg.

"What happened?" Zach asked worriedly as he rushed to her.

"My leg. I think it got crumpled." She said holding her leg in pain.

"Let me take you home." Zach said and tried to hold her.

"No, I'm fine. I can go home without your help." Eliza stopped him and tried to walk away. But she couldn't because as soon as she tried to walk forward with her right leg she yelp in pain.

"No, I'm fine. I can go home without your help." Zach mimicked before he forcefully picked her in a bridal style.

"Put me down." Eliza ordered even though she felt comfortable in his arms.

"I can't." Zach smirked. "Make me if you can."

"Why the hell can't you take the hint?" Eliza asked as Zach took her to his car. "I'm not going to go back with you."

"I doubt that." Zach grinned.

"Why am I even arguing with him?" Eliza muttered to herself shaking her head.

"What happened to her?" Elsa asked as Zach walked into the apartment carrying Eliza in her arms.

"She got a leg crumple." Zach answered.

"Are you okay, Eliza? Do you want me to call a doctor?" Elsa asked.

"Now the pain is gone. But he's not allowing me to walk." Eliza glared at Zach.

Elsa watched Zach carrying her sister to their room with a smug.

Zach laid Eliza in her bed. Then she kissed her forehead before he moved the strand of hair behind her ear.

"I love you." Zach reminded her as his thumb caressed her cheek. He leaned his face towards her slowly making her look at him breathlessly.

"I can't do this, Zach. I can't." Eliza said as she stopped him before he kissed her. She knew that she was going to melt into his kiss if she let him kiss her.

"Why?" Zach asked hurt written all over his face.

"I don't know. I just can't." Eliza said and sighed.

"Why do you have to be so stubborn?!" Zach yelled at her before he got off the bed angrily.

"Did you at least give me a chance to speak about what happened? No. You didn't. You know what? It's true that I kissed her. But as soon as I kissed her I realized that my heart only belongs to you because I didn't feel anything like I feel when I kiss you!" Zach snapped at her before he ran a hand through his hair. "I know what I did was wrong but what didn't I do to get you back? But you were all stubborn and rejected me all the time."

"Zach, I'm sorry-" Eliza started.

"No, I don't need your sudden guilt. You wanted me to walk out of your life all this time. I will do that now. I won't be a problem to you again." Zach said before he walked out of the room.

She started to sob loudly but stopped as she heard Zach's car engine roared, making her run to the window. She saw him drive off really fast.

"Eliza." Elsa said as she and Jonah came into the room.

"Jonah, go after him before he do something stupid." Eliza said Jonah.

Jonah nodded and left.

"Don't worry he'll be fine." Elsa said hugging her sister as Eliza sobbed into her.

Eliza was pacing around the living room as Elsa was sitting on the sofa watching her sister.

"It's been for hours now. Why didn't Jonah call us?" Eliza said worriedly.

"Nothing is gonna happen to Zach." Elsa assured her.

"Why did I become so cruel to him?" Eliza asked, shaking her head slowly disappointed about herself.

Suddenly Eliza's phone started to ring and the ID showed Jack's name. Eliza answered the phone thinking that it must be news about Zach.

"Eliza, Zach-Zach." Jack shuttered with a shaky voice.

"Zach what? Tell me, Jack!" Eliza started to panic.

"He got into an accident. He's in the hospital." Jack broke the news finally making Eliza's eyes filled with tears.

"No. No. This is all my fault. My Zach is in pain all because of my stupidness." Eliza started to ramble pacing around while crying.

Elsa grabbed Eliza's phone from her and kept it on her ear. "Jack, what happened?"
