Chapter 21

"I need ice cream." Eliza pouted as they walked back to the car park of the amusement park.

"Wait in the car. I'll bring you ice cream." Zach smiled and kissed her forehead.

"Okay." Eliza smiled back before she got into the car.

As Zach left, Eliza's phone started to ring making her take her phone and check the ID to see her best friend's name.

"Hey, Corbs." Eliza greeted as she answered the phone call.

"Hey." Corbyn said from the other line. "How was your date?"

"Good." Eliza said simply. "The date wasn't yet over."

"Oh. I'm sorry if I ruined your date." Corbyn started to apologize.

"No, you didn't. Zach went to buy ice cream, so I'm in the car alone." Eliza said.

"Oh." Corbyn said. "Where are you now?"

"Still in the parking lot of the amusement park." Eliza said.

Suddenly, she heard a glass crashing sound.

"What was that?" Corbyn asked from the other side of the line.

"No idea." Eliza said as she opened the car door and got out of the car. "Let me check."

"Stay in the car until Zach comes." Corbyn ordered.

"Geez, buddy. Nothing is gonna happen. As soon as I check what just happened I will go back to the car." Eliza said slowly moving towards the direction where she heard the sound.

"Who knows if it is a large dinosaur." Eliza chuckled.

"Eliza, don't be stubborn. Go back to the car." Corbyn ordered.

"I will-" Eliza started but stopped as she spotted the previous group of men kicking Zach who was on the floor groaning in pain.

"Zach! Oh my god!" Eliza yelled.

"Eliza! Eliza! What happened?!" Corbyn yelled from the other line but Eliza didn't hear him because she ran to save her boyfriend who was getting beaten by a gang of strangers and her phone fell on the floor without even getting noticed by her.

One guy grabbed Zach who couldn't even stand from his feet at the moment by his jacket and lifted him up and punch on his stomach, making him cough blood.

"Oh my god! Stop it!" Eliza yelled, making them look at her.

"Your boyfriend is the one who started this. We're just playing along." The guy who winked at Eliza shrugged with an innocent look.

"Please let him go." Eliza begged. "I will give you money, jewelry, house, cars or anything you want. Just let him go."

"Anything?" The leader smirked, scanning her body, making her cover herself from her jacket.

"Looks like we can have some fun." The leader of the gang said making others snickered making her backed away.

"Run, Eliza." Zach groaned weakly.

"Please, let us go." Eliza begged.

"You give me what I want and then I give you what you want." The leader said. "It is that simple."

"No!" Zach yelled with the full strength he had.

"Shut up!" A guy of the gang kicked him hard making Zach cough blood to the ground once again.

"Please, stop hurting him." Eliza begged as tears strolled down her face.

"Look at him. He's weak. If I beat him a few more times he will definitely rest in peace forever." The leader said gesturing towards Zach.
