Chapter 20

Eliza opened the door of the hospital room to see Zach laying on the bed surrounded by machines. Jack and Corbyn were sitting on the couch as Jonah was sitting on a chair beside Zach's bed. Jonah got up from the chair as soon as he saw Eliza.

"Zach." Eliza whispered.

"I'm sorry, Eliza. I couldn't save him." Jonah apologized with a sympathetic look.

Elsa made her way to Jonah and hugged him.

Eliza slowly made her way to Zach and sat on the edge of his bed as she took his hand into her small hands crying silently.

"He's weak. He hasn't eaten since you started to ignore your food." Jack said, making a sob escape from her lips.

"The doctor said if he didn't wake up soon. He won't wake up again." Corbyn added, making her squeeze his hand.

"No. No. No." Eliza shook her head slowly.

"Zach, wake up. Please. Don't do this to me! You can't leave me like this!" Eliza exclaimed but Zach didn't respond.

"Please, wake up. This is all my fault." Eliza said, trying to wake him up. "I will come home with you. I will do anything you want me to do. Please wake up."

"Sweetheart, I recommend you not to promise too much because he'll take advantage of you." Jack said.

"I don't care. I just need him back." Eliza said before she buried her face into Zach's chest and sobbed.

"Will you rape me like you did once?" She heard the familiar voice as she felt arms wrapped around her.

"I will-" Eliza started but stopped as she realized something. She looked up to see Zach smirking at her and others laughing loudly and uncontrollably.

"You did what?" Elsa asked with a disgusted face. "Gross!"

"I think you need to take advice from your sister, Elsa." Jonah said to Elsa making her send him a dead glare.

"You bastard!" Eliza finally yelled at Zach as she slowly realized what happened. "Were you acting all this time?"

"Sorry. I just needed you back." Zach said, pouting as he held his ears, making a smile crack on Eliza's lips.

"Stupid boy. You scared me to hell." Eliza smacked on Zach's head.

"Am I forgiven at least now?" Zach asked with his unavoidably puppy face.

Eliza nodded before she chuckled at him.

"You have become my life now. My heart beats for you and only you." He said bringing her hand and placing over his beating heart making her smile.

"Did all of you know about this?" Eliza asked from others.

"This is all their plan." Elsa said.

"Shall we eat something? I feel damn hungry." Zach said wrapping his arms around her pulling her closer to him making Eliza chuckle at him once again.

After the date to the amusement park of Eliza and Zach, they thought to have a walk together. So, Zach and Eliza walked down the street laughing while holding hands.

A group of men walked past them. One of the men winked and whistled at Eliza and she ignored them. But Zach didn't.

"What's your problem, huh?" Zach asked, turning towards the guy who winked at Eliza. He looked like the leader of the gang.

"Do you want to know what my problem is?" The guy asked Zach, making all the other guys laugh.

Zach tried to open his mouth to yell the guys with a rude comment but Eliza cupped his face making his dark eyes filled with anger softened within seconds. "Let's go. Please."

Zach nodded before he gave a dead glare at the guys who were still laughing at them. Zach wrapped his arm around her waist pulling her closer to him and walked away.
