Donghyuck's dress shoes clicked methodically against the building lobby's tiled floors, pulling at his gloves covering his hands. His face was anything but expressionless and professional and he straightened out his suit jacket as he walked out of the building, looking around briefly.

The cold air whipped through his black hair and he sniffled, the weather already making his nose run. He glanced quickly at his watch and made his way over to a black car parked outside the front of his apartment building. He would have more than enough time to get to his destination on time.

Pulling the car door open, Donghyuck was quick to close and lock it after him, turning the keys in the ignition. Getting himself situated, he looked over his shoulder and pulled out of the parking spot onto the empty street. After all, it was close to 6am.

Donghyuck was a chauffeur, someone who was employed to drive around other people to their destinations. However, unlike many of his colleagues, he was employed to a private organization and could accept no other jobs. And by employed, he means that this was his very first day on the job and he was shaking in his shoes.

Partially for the reason that this was his first day on any job as a chauffeur and partially for the reason that his boss was, in fact, head of the city's mafia.

Just his luck.

Donghyuck shifted in his seat and winced as he put too much pressure on one of his newly forming bruises. He let out a heavy sigh and scrunched his nose, looking in his rearview mirror as he tried his best not to cry. He had to stay professional -- he had to be strong.

But it was difficult when his home life was so shitty. Stuck. That's what he was. Stuck in a three year and still going strong relationship with his extremely toxic boyfriend who had threatened not just murder on Donghyuck but also claimed that he would kill himself if Donghyuck left. And, unfortunately, Donghyuck was much too cowardly to see if he was bluffing or not.

So he was stuck with regular and almost daily beatings, the result of too many bottles of alcohol and work complaints of how his boyfriend was inadequate at his job.

Letting out another sigh Donghyuck clicked his turning signal on and glanced behind him to see if he could switch lanes, pulling over onto the far right lane. He was almost to the building, surprised by the fact that it was a well-known business building. Although he could vaguely remember something about mafia organizations needing a front business in order to legally explain their profits.

It was all quite fascinating actually, Donghyuck thought to himself and he turned, catching sight of the tall building in the near distance. Then he glanced at the time again, relieved to see that he had more than enough time to arrive at the building and get himself prepared before he would have to engage with his client.

Mark Lee.

That was his name and Donghyuck felt his heart speed up a little out of nerves. He would have to interact with someone as deadly as that and he really wasn't looking forward to it. But, Donghyuck simply reminded himself that he could either be driving a deadly and violent mafia boss around the city with the possibility of being shot at or sitting at home waiting in fear for whenever his boyfriend would come home.
