"Good luck, boys." Jun tilted her head and smiled softly–that smile was the prettiest thing the team had seen in a while, for it extended to her fuchsia eyes and deep into her soul. Jun had the gente touch, the honesty that was a purity and her smile was one of happiness growing, much as a spring flower opened. Makoto could see how it came from deep inside to light her eyes and spread every part of her. He could feel something stirring inside of him when her gentle eyes landed on him. Was it an affection?
The team had so much enthusiasm when Haru called them to let them know that he had agreed for the relay and Jun was anticipating to see them swimming together. The girls were standing behind the rail and Jun could see a mop of maroon hair running–no doubt, Rin was really surprised to see them again. The girl ignored him and shifted her eyes to Makoto, he was first and she took a note internally about his stroke–a rough but dynamic stroke that left everyone behind and she needed to admit that Makoto looked really good when he's serious about swimming.
She saw how keen Rin was looking at them and her heart had been hoping that those boys will settle their problems nicely. Nagisa was up next and he was really good. He managed to surpass everyone else and Rei was still working on his butterfly stroke and by the time he had touched the surface, Jun swore that her heart leapt when Haru dove in for his turn. Her hand was placed on her chest and she would never ever forget the sensation of that moment. Haru easily overwhelmed everyone else and he was closing in–the boys were screaming for him and Kou had her arms around Jun when they won.
"They won!" Kou pulled her hand to run to the boys and Jun covered her mouth as her heart was still racing earlier. Something about Haru's swimming just got her feeling some type of way and they were going to regionals together. Jun smiled widely before congratulating them and her eyes did catch an uneasy look on Rin's face, guessing that he might be envy of them at the moment. His eyes snapped to her though they did look empty and Jun was worried about him. Maybe, he just wanted them to go back to how they were used to before.
A few days later, their school had an assembly and the swim club proudly stood in front of all students and teachers as the principal announced their winning at prefectural and they had qualified for regionals. All boys had their eyes on their new fellow student, Jun rather than the other boys and that made Haru slightly annoyed. But Nagisa pointed out that Jun was too beautiful to not look at to. It's like she had this alluring aura like an anime character he had watched in his favourite anime.
"Jun-chan is like a princess!"
Jun rolled her eyes and slapped the back of Nagisa's head before looking up at the banner the school had placed it on the wall. "They really did a lot for us, huh? It's obvious they reused an old sign. What's up with this school budget?" The boys sweatdropped at her words but it's really starting to feel like they were winners. Nagisa then claimed to be like heroes when they entered the classroom. Jun shrugged her shoulders and perked up at the bell's ringing.
