hello everyone,

here's a short introduction before we hit off with the story:

Blanca Davis recently turned 15. she's a blue eyed girl, with rather short (shoulder length), a bit messy, golden (dark blonde) hair living in a peaceful neighbourhood in London with her parents and 8 year old little sister Ella. ofc you can change the eye and hair color to whatever you want, it's just easier for me to write. now, where to begin?

blanca's pov

"5, 6, 7, 8, and...turn around... up! And down, that's right, that's right! Chloe, put some more passion into it. Exactly"

I turned around, feeling a few strands of my hair brushing my cheeks. Tired of practicing our beautiful group routine, I still managed to go up and down, up and down, turn around...

"Blanca, it's your turn!" our dance coach, Michelle, nearly screamed. I rolled my eyes. I may be tired, but not dense. Doesn't she know I'm a proffessional? I can FIGHT. We've been practicing this whole July. I know how to—

I felt other girls tossing me lightly and all of a sudden, I was hanging under the ceiling. The music continued but everyone stopped the routine, widening their eyes, looking up.

"BANG"

The next thing I felt was strong pain in the back as I hit the floor. Everyone rushed to me, panicking. I groaned as I tried to get up with their help.

"How on earth did this happen?"

"Uh... I think that's a wrap for today" Michelle looked a bit dizzy "Don't worry, you didn't break anything. I'm sure you'll be fine by the end of the day!"
These were her last words as I took a seat in my mum's car. The thing was, I wasn't fine by the end of the day. I'd say I was startled. As soon as I came into my room, I noticed something even more bizarre. There was an envelope lying on my bed, waiting for me to open it and see what's inside, I assume.

"Weird" I thought to myself "First I magically happen to hang under the ceiling and now this?"
I carefully opened the yellowish envelope. Inside was a beautiful hand-written letter, so I started reading it, opening my eyes wider with every sentence.

HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY

"Dear Ms Davis,

We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term (5th year) begins on 1 September.

Yours sincerly,

Minerva McGonagall,

Deputy Headmistress

I pulled out another card, which contained some book titles, something about an owl... "Is this some kind of joke?" very confused, I went down the stairs to find my parents watching a film.

"Hi, umm... it was lying on my bed" I handled them the lettter. Not saying a word, they read everything. I was waiting for their reaction. To my surprise, they looked rather excited, not confused.

"Oh my god John, is this really happening?" my mum gasped.

"I mean, I think so, Alice, the letter is adressed to her..."

I stood there, having no clue what they were talking about. "Mom, what is happening?"

They both looked at me with amazement. Both tearing up. Strange.

"Blanca, darling" my mom sighed, smiling uncontrollbly, "You're a witch!"

They both stood up and rushed to me. I felt warmth of their arms embracing me.

"I'm sorry, I'm a what?!"

"Oh honey, there's so much you need to learn" they finally let go, leaving me even more starstruck.

"I don't even know where to start with explaining you everything" my dad wiped a tear "I'm a wizard too"

"WOTT!?"

Suddenly we heard the phone ringing. My mom went to get it.

"It's Meg", she said after hanging up. "She needs to go with Holly to the dentist so I'm gonna pick up Ella from their house".
When she left to pick up my little sister from her friend, I looked at my dad who still had single tears running down his cheeks. We both sat down on the couch and he began to explain the whole letter situation.

And that's how I found out I'm a witch.

*the next day*

"I don't understand, how will we get there?" I tried to keep up with my dad's pace. He was nearly running because of his excitement. My little sister simply couldn't keep up so my mom and her were walking behind us, slowlier. Dad led us into a pub I've actually never noticed before. Instead of looking for any door through which we could get to the magical shops my parents had talked about earlier, he approached a wall. Simple brick wall. Which sarted "opening itself" when he touched one of the bricks. I gasped as we went out to the busiest street I've ever seen. Instead of clothes, there were robes, instead of hamsters and fish there were owls and rats, instead of tennis rackets or football balls there were broomsticks on display... I could go on forever. Before buying everything i needed, we had to exchange "muggle money" into magical currency. After that we did the largest shopping haul ever. I couldn't be happier when we got out of the "Animal shop" with a beautiful brown owl. I was looking forward to get a broomstick, but sadly my parents decided it would better be not to buy something I may not use if it turned out I'm not keen on flying.
At the end we went to "Ollivander's Wand Shop", as it said on the sign above the entrance. Very excited, we all entered the shop. It was rather dark inside, the only light were sun rays coming through the windows. Suddenly a tall, thin and VERY aged man greeted us.
"What's your name, dear?" He looked at me.
"Blanca" I said bravely despite being creeped by the man.
"Hmmm...let's see..."he started unwrapping a wand "Try this one"
I assumed he wanted me to wave it, so I did. Throwing some things from the shelves on the floor.
"I- I'm terribly sorry, I didn't mean to-" I struggled with finding the right words but Mr Ollivander seemed like he didn't care about the damage. Instead, he handed me another wand. "Try this one".
It didn't work out either.
"Trying to find the perfect match I see..." the man kept mumbling. My parents and sister were standing rather afar, watching from a safe distance. I've been trying out various wands for several minutes when I was handed a wand that sparkled with gold when I touched it. I felt warm electricity coming trough my body as i held it.
"Perfect! This one's the one and only, Miss", Mr Ollivander cried happily. "11 inches, phoenix feather. Yes, this one's the one indeed."
We paid for it. And as we were leaving the shop, Mr Ollivander mysteriously told me:
"Remember Ms Davis, there are no two existing wands that are exactly alike".
And with a strange feeling that great things are going to happen, we all left and headed back to the pub. Wait a minute. How come did Mr Ollivander know my surname?
When we reached our house I was so exhausted I drifted away the second I lied down on my bed. This day was for sure the most exciting day of my life.
Only if I knew how much excitement upcoming days would bring.
