blanca's pov

Friday morning. My friends and I sitting in the Hall, enjoying breakfast. I tried to keep up with their talk and laughter, but my thoughts were circling around what happened the previous night. Midnight. Draco and I, alone in the astronomy tower. He came up to me, and locked his silver eyes on mine.

And then, he just left.

'Blanca?' Hermione was looking at me, worried. "Is everything alright?'

I shrugged my thoughts away.

'Yeah, umm... I'm okay.'

I decided not to tell her anything about what happened the day before. I wasn't sure if I completely understood it myself, so I wanted to keep this to myself, at least for now.

Before that night at the astronomy tower, I'd give anything for him to shut up. Now, I wanted him so badly to stop ignoring me. What happened? Why is he behaving like that? How does he really feel about me? I didn't understand and was dying to find out at first, but then, as he slowly began being as mean as usual, I gave up.

*

It was October already, but the weather was still great. Hermione, Ginny, Luna (from Ravenclaw), Parvati and I were sitting on the grass besides the lake, enjoying our lunch break. We were surrounded by some other students, who were admiring the sunny weather as well.

'Angelina said they don't really need any new players as Harry's a Seeker, Fred and George are Beaters, Angelina, Alicia and Katie are Chasers and Ron's a Keeper,' I told the girls, 'But she has said it's about time Gryffindor should have a reserve Seeker and that's who I'm going to be!'

'Shouldn't you be thankful?' Someone's voice came from behind. Voice of someone I'd never expect here.

'Oh, shut it Malfoy,' I snapped. I looked up to some other boys, standing behind him.

'What? If it wasn't me, you would never be on that team,' He replied, mocking, 'Even if you're not on the actual team—'

'Go away, you jerk,' Ginny hissed, 'No one wants you here!'

'What was your name again, Weasley girl?' he looked at her. 'I see, you're not so confident anymore when you're boyfriend Potter is not around,'

That Slytherin girl, Pansy Parkinson, laughed mockingly. Ginny's cheeks were very red now.

And I? I was boiling with anger.

'How dare you—' I stood up, walking slowly towards him. Was he getting nervous? 'How dare you insult my friends.'

Malfoy regained his confidence.

'Who? Scarhead? And the Weasley's? Oh please, out of all people you had to pick—'

'AND I WOULDN'T CHOOSE ANYONE ELSE!' I yelled at him.

'I mean... not that I'm surprised,' He said slowly, avoiding eye contact, yet I was looking into his eyes, furious, 'As soon as the Hat sorted you to Gryffindor, I immidiately knew there must something wrong with you—'

I couldn't keep my anger inside any longer. I immidiately pointed my wand at him. I could feel Hermione looking at me, shocked, as she always does when I do something risky. Malfoy widened his eyes. Everyone at the field was now staring at me, watching what would happen next. Finally, he looked at me. He looked at me, with those silver eyes that intrigued me the most. They were now concentrated, scared and worried at the same time.

Even though I didn't want it, I felt all the anger slowly leaving me. I lowered my wand, not taking my eyes of him. And just when I was about to turn around...

'You're not good enough in spells, am I right? Granger must be the worst tutor. I mean, what would you expect from mud—'

SMASH.

I don't know who was more shocked - me or him.

I looked down to see Malfoy lying on the grass, and then, not fully believing, I moved my gaze towards my clenched fist. Turning around, I saw everyone staring at me, shocked, but most of the students were looking pretty impressed as well.

'BLANCA DAVIS.' Uh oh.

My heart sank faster than I'd just punched that jerk. Professor McGonagall was rushing towards us. She was followed by Snape, who obviously couldn't keep up with her pace. When professor McGonagall gave me that piercing look, I knew I was in trouble.

'Explain.'

Hermione quickly told her what happened. When she finished, professor McGonagall said:

'Ms Davis, I shall inform you that your behaviour is unacceptable,' She said and I felt very unpleasant shivers running through my body. 'Detention, and 10 points will be taken from Gryffindor.'

'But Professor!' cried Hermione.

'Blanca stood up for her friends!' Parvati added. Some other students started to express their dissatisfaction as well.

Professor McGonagall furrowed her eyebrows.

'It's up to professor Snape to punish Mr Malfoy.' She said coldly.

Everyone moved their gaze towards Snape. He grunted.

'Err...Yes, Draco Malfoy will receive detention as well,' He stated. I felt relieved. 'With Miss Davis." I groaned and looked at Malfoy, who was still lying on the ground. I noticed blood running from his nose. I felt kinda bad but immidiately recovered myself from compassion, remembering everything he said just before.

'Now, before Miss Davis takes Mr Malfoy to the hospital wing,' Professor McGonagall said slowly, looking at me, 'I want you to apologise. Both of you.'

I heard a short laughter from Pansy Parkinson, "Draco never apologises,"

I rolled my eyes. Leaning over him. I tried to look blankly. 'Sorry.'

He looked up. I suddenly felt disquieting shivers running through my body the second our eyes locked. I noticed single tear running down his cheek.

'No. I am sorry.'
