I woke up the next morning with that same anxious yet excited feeling in the pit of my stomach. But I was comforted by the thought of Cedric.

I crawl out of my bed and see that Stella is already up, putting on mascara in a mirror on her desk, "Morning noob, 'bout time, c'mon get ready we gotta get to breakfast," she says.

I hurriedly put on my uniform and slap on some mascara and lip gloss. Then we head out of our room towards the common room. We enter and see Cedric and Milo standing in the center of the room, waiting for us.

"There you two are, I'm literally starving, let's gooooo...." Milo whines at us.

"Yeah yeah, poor baby," Stella coos sarcastically, grabbing Milo's arm and they start to walk off towards the tunnel. Leaving me and Cedric in the common room.

"So uh how was your first night?" Cedric inquires.

"Oh, uh it was good, thank god Stella doesn't snore," I chuckle.

Thank god Stella doesn't snore?!? Oi Delia what a dumb thing to say.

Cedric lets out a small laugh and a smile. Oh gosh his smile made me melt a little.

"We should go catch up with the others, get some food, yeah?" He asks, looking at me with his kind brown eyes.

"Sounds good." I say back.

He motions for me to go before him in the tunnel out of the common room.

It doesn't take long to get to the great hall, it's fairly close considering it's right above the kitchens.

Cedric spies Milo and Stella and we make our way over and sit down across the table from them.

We start talking about our class schedules while we eat. The three of them have Potions first. I have Defense Against the Dark Arts. Sounds... intimidating.

Milo starts rambling about how the Potions teacher, Snape, lowkey scares him.

I try to pay attention but I sense someone watching me.

I look around and at the table across from us I see a pale, thin, platinum blonde haired boy staring at me, surrounded by a group of boys and a girl all talking. They're all wearing green ties - Slytherins.

"Who's that?" I ask Cedrick, cocking my head in that direction.

"Oh thats Malfoy, Draco Malfoy. I suggest you stay away from him, he's bad news."

"He's really the worst of the Slytherin bunch if you ask me, also Snape's favorite," Milo joins in. "Always followed by his so-called friends whose mouths are so far up his rich, pureblood ass... bunch of weasels."

Stella stifles out a laugh at this comment.

Cedric looks at his watch. "Well anyways, the four of us should be getting to our first class of the year, don't want to be late."

"Punctual as ever Ced," Stella teases.

We get up and I follow behind the three of them as they're chatting away making guesses at what they think McGonagall did over the break.

Then I realize that I don't have the same class as them and am going the wrong way. I quickly turn around and start walking the other direction.

I take a couple steps before I bump into a tall figure and drop my wand and books on the floor.

"Oh jeez, I'm really sorry," I say as I bend down.

I hear a laugh from above me as I look up.
