My princess jumped off the roof gracefully. As I watched, Maddy leapt down beside her. Up on the roof, I fought a man, who appeared right after they jumped. I dodged, keeping his knife away from my throat. Finally, I pulled my gun, shooting him in both thighs before hitting him over the head with the barrel. He hit the roof like a rock. "Idiots," I mumbled under my breath. I turned and jumped, landing beside Annie. She was beautiful. She shot with both hands, aiming at the men in black in front of us. Beside her, Maddy did the same. I pulled out my gun, preparing to shoot when the formation opened up, revealing Rogue and Derrek. As I watched, the traitor lifted a knife, preparing throw it. My princess shot him in the arm, causing him to drop the knife. However, beside him rogue lifted a hidden hand. It finally came into sight as he released it. I almost screamed. I moved faster than I ever had in my life. I couldn't let him take Annie out. Rogue crumpled to the ground, but knife was already in motion.

I was in front of Annie just as the knife was about to hit. It stuck in my chest as I hit the ground. I blinked up as my vision clouded with pain. This was a wound that I would not live to see a new day with. Annie's face appeared in front of me. Her hands held my face, tears streaming down her cheeks. I struggled to speak, the pain making it hard to breath. "My princess, Annie. Always. I never got to tell you since the fight. I love you, I never meant for that to happen."

"I know," she whispered. Her face came closer. "I love you too." Another wave of pain coursed through me as breathing became even harder.

Her lips were on mine, kissing me. I kissed her back, as much as I could in this weakened state. As she kissed me, I felt the pain begin to fade. I breathed out into her lips, my breath fading. All I knew was that I loved her. And then, there was nothing.
