Chapter 12

Alanah was excited to have the boys watch her run but right now it was only warm ups so they went to get food with Chloe. Nothing too exciting ever really happens during this time because everyone is focused on the race. After warm ups ended Alanah and Flo found everyone and watched Tuf and the rest of the events. It was always exciting to watch everyone else. Alanah was lost in her train of thought when Louis tried talking to her.

"Hello Alanah? You listening?" Louis said waving his hand around.

Shaking herself out of her thoughts Alanah replied "Uh now I am whats up?"

"Are you nervous? Because I would be. This looks really dangerous like who just gets on the back of something that can kill you?" Louis asked.

Not ready for more questions Alanah looked down from Flo, "Uh I wasn't but now a little bit. But you get in a car everyday and those can kill you. You ride on a plane and those can kill you too. We do it because it's fun. Maybe one day i'll let yall ride Flo around the arena before we all leave."

Excited Louis practically shouted, "You trust us that much to let us ride your prize winning death machine! I can't wait!"

Shortly after the barrel racing started. The rest of the boys were excited to see Alanah run since only Harry had got to see it the previous night. Alanah was the last rider for the event so she got a chance to watch everyone and check times.

"Hey you're almost up are you nervous? But you shouldn't be no ones got below a 16 second run and you can hit 13 pretty easy. I think you'll do great good luck." Harry said petting Flo.

Smiling Alanah leaned down, "Thanks curls but I don't need luck."

It was time for Alanah to get in the Alley way and start her run. Flo was ready and was starting to get agitated and deep down Alanah knew that wasn't a good sign but she decided to go ahead. Just as the gates opened Flo reared up and launched forward full speed. Alanah tried to get her to calm down as they made it around the first barrel. Nobody was prepared for what happened next. Flo bucked into the second turn causing Alanah's foot to come out of the stirrup. She thought nothing of it and left her foot out of the stirrup ready to hit the third barrel and get back in the alley way. Alanah went to turn Flo but instead Flo bucked again causing the pair to land with Alanah under her horse.

Screams came from all over as the announcer yelled for the paramedics over the stadium speakers. Chloe and the boys ran as quick as they could to try and grab Alanah and Flo. Harry ran to Alanah while the rest of the group went to grab Flo who was galloping around the arena at full speed. As they got Flo controlled, Harry had just made it to Alanah who wasn't moving.

"Alanah holy shit. Someone help!" Harry yelled, panicking.

Paramedics arrived on scene ushering Harry away from Alanah. He then called Liam to find out where they were so they could come back and talk to the paramedics. As everyone waited quietly Chloe was off talking to the EMT incharge while the ambulance took Alanah to the medical center to get checked. Chloe came back about 10 minutes later to update the rest of the group.

"The EMT said that she's in a coma but they're not sure about her neck or legs until they do x-rays and an MRI. But they're taking her to the medical center right now and we can go as soon as we take Flo back to Alanahs because they don't think she'll be able to ride the rest of the rodeo. Do yall want to come with me to drop off Flo?" Chloe stated.

The boys obviously agreed and they piled up into Alanahs truck and drove to her house which wasn't far. They sat in silence for the ride, not even the radio was playing. Harry was too busy on twitter looking at how concerned everyone was for Alanah and how they hope she recovers perfectly. Even fans of the band were sending out tweets keeping the band and Alanahs' friends and family in their thoughts. Harry decided to post a small update since no one really knew what was going on.

@Harry_Styles: Thank you everyone for your comments. We are currently driving Flo back to her house before we head to the hospital to get more updates on La. They said she was in a coma but they won't know anything else until they get there to run tests. I'll keep everyone updated when I know anything else - H <3

Quickly after hitting send Harry had to mute his twitter because everyone was commenting. He even got a few texts from his mom.

ANNE: Harry what's going on? Is everything okay. Who's La and why is she in a coma?

HARRY: She's the girl Eleanor got into a fight with yesterday. We became friends and she was racing her horse at the rodeo and her horse started freaking out and threw her off.

ANNE: Oh my goodness Harry! I hope she's okay keep me updated BEFORE you update twitter please and i'll let Gemma know whats happening so she doesn't call you or anything while your waiting for updates.

Chloe was unloading Flo and getting the trailer back in the garage before speeding off to the hospital to meet with the doctors since they had called and said they had a few results.

Oops im a terrible person. I have about 45 minutes left of my break and I want to make the results from the MRI CT and Xrays their own chapter so this one is kinda short but the next chapter should be up tonight when i get some more time to write. yay
