Chapter 11: Agreement 🍋

~Later at Illumi's Place~

As per Hisoka's request, the three men all met up at Illumi's place to discuss their war over you.

"What is it? I thought we decided to let Y/n choose who she wanted?" Chrollo asked.

"Yes, yes. I just had a suggestion I thought I'd float by you two that should help us to not get in each other's way as much"

"Go on," Illumi encouraged.

"I think that we should get her her own place. That way, instead of her bouncing around between our houses, she could just invite one of us over" Hisoka suggested.

"No" Illumi rejected bluntly.

"Why not? That sounds like a good idea to me" Chrollo said.

"There's too much of a risk. Say, one day none of us are available and she's alone. I can deal with competing with just you two but she will bring home other guys to keep from sleeping by herself" Illumi argued.

"I knew she didn't like to sleep alone but is it really that bad?" asked Chrollo.

"She gets nightmares" Hisoka remembered.

"No, it's worse than that" Illumi started, "Her parents were drunks and had very little money so they had her work in a brothel at a really young age. My father met her one day in the city and decided to adopt her from her parents who didn't care for her. When he brought her home, we were all confused but he told us that though she was small and cute, he could tell that she could've killed him at any moment. She's had her nen ability since before she was even ten"

"Okay, what does that have to do with her nightmares?" Chrollo asked.

"Apparently, if she didn't bring home a certain amount of money each night, her parents made her sleep outside. In the region we grew up in, there's wolves and other wild beasts everywhere looking for prey so I imagine she was attacked in her sleep quite often. We always had her sleep in my brother Kalluto's room because they liked to share clothes, but one day, my brother was off on a mission and Y/N slept by herself. We were woken up in the middle of the night to loud banging sounds and came to find her talking in her sleep. All the furniture in the room was floating in circles around her and when we tried to approach the bed to wake her up, the tables and dressers attacked us. She was mumbling "save me, protect me" through her nightmares" Illumi revealed.

"Woah, that's awful," Chrollo said softly.

"That was just the first time. Once she woke up in the middle of an inferno. She had burned down a whole hotel. Since then, she bounced around staying with friends or hookups when she was out on a job" Illumi divulged.

"So as long as we make sure one of us is there every night it's fine, right? We could even get a place in the middle of nowhere so she can't hurt anyone" Chrollo offered.

"I'm okay with that," Hisoka confirmed.

"Fine, but we must keep a strict schedule. And we have to promise not to interrupt the others when one of us is over," Illumi instructed.

"Agreed" Hisoka and Chrollo nodded.

~Later at Hisoka's Place~

You waited eagerly for Hisoka to return and you suddenly heard the door knob jiggle. You cheerfully ran over to the door to let him in.

"Welcome home" you smiled.

"Why, thank you, dear," he responded, placing a soft kiss on your lips.

"Did you get everything done that you needed to?" you asked.

"Indeed. Now forget about that," he said grabbing you and pulling you against his chest. He lowered his head to the edge of your ear and whispered huskily, "You look delicious in this dress".
