Chapter 9: Beginning to train

- Adrian's Prov
I walked up to Rey and handed her her Lightsaber "Hello Master Rey" I greeted her "I believe this belongs to you" I told her then handed her her Lightsaber and she stared shocked at me "I'm with The Phoenix Alliance, my brother Levin sent me, we need your help" I told her and she looked shocked that I came all this way to find her and return her own Lightsaber back to her, but she offered it back so I took it confused and put it back in my bag "Master Rey, follow me please" I told her then I started going back down to the beach with Rey following me and I actually can't believe she became so cooperative, I just want to learn what this thing inside me is and not to be afraid of it, I then went to Dante and Yip and introduced Rey to them "Dante, Yip, this is Rey Skywalker" I told them "Master Rey, these are my friends, Dante and Yip" I told Rey and they shook hands then suddenly I heard very faint whispers so I went back to the island and saw some kind of really weird shaped tree and some kind of pull to it so I went inside its trunk and saw.... ancient books? I then went up to them and slowly went to pick one up "Who are you?" I heard Rey ask out of nowhere behind me making me jump and stop, I then looked behind me and saw Master Rey standing by the entrance ".... I know this place...." I said having SEVERE déjà vu, I then looked around "These are the Sacred Jedi Texts" she said going to the books taking one off the little stand "Like me, they're the last of The Jedi Religion" she said then she slowly looked to me "You've seen this place before, you've seen this island before, haven't you?" Rey asked "Only in my dreams" I said looking around "Why are you here?" Rey asked "My brother Lord Levin sent me, The Phoenix Alliance needs Rey Skywalker to come back and help us" I was about to explain "Why are you here" she asked putting emphasis on 'you', I then looked to the ground thinking, I then looked back to her "Master Rey.." I started "Something inside of me has always been there and I never knew it was there.... I think it was there since the day I was born..... but now it's awakened....and I'm afraid of it" I explained as best as I could and she looked at me in a listening way "I have no idea what this thing is, or how to tap into it, or what to do with it, or how to even control it" I stated "And I'm desperate for help" I explained "What you need is a teacher" she stated "A teacher?" I asked confused "To train you in The Ways of The Force" she explained ".... I can teach you" she stated and I was shocked "You mean you'll..." I was about to ask "I will teach you how to become a Jedi" she stated, no way! I'm going to become Rey Skywalker's apprentice?! "You're going to become my teacher??" I asked curiously "No" she said and I looked at her confused "I am now your master" she stated, no way!, after Rey and I went back to Dante and Yip, I told Rey she might want to sit down "Master Rey, Kylo Den grows far more stronger with The Dark Side, we need you to rebuild The Jedi Order" I told her as I told her why we came here and she thought she would be on the island to die but there are others who need teaching so I can be Rey's apprentice to become a Jedi just like her, she then agreed to come with us to Phoenix Drop so I told Rey what I THINK I can do "Master Rey, we need you to bring The Jedi back because Kylo Den is very strong with The Dark Side of The Force" I told her "And without The Jedi, The Phoenix Alliance won't stand a chance against her" I told her "What do you know about The Force?" Rey asked "Um.." I replied confused "You are my apprentice now, so this is your first lesson" she explained "Oh" I replied "Now, what do you know about The Force?" Rey repeated her question "It's a power that Jedi have that allows them to control people and...make things levitate" I told her "Impressive, everything you said was incorrect" she told me so I walked up to her "Sit down, legs crossed" she told me so I sat down with my legs crossed "The Force is not a power we have, you see it's the energy that flows through all living things, it's what gives us our power, it's an energy field that surrounds us, binds us, penetrates us and keeps the galaxy in perfect balance" she explained "Okay, but what is it exactly?" I asked then she sighed "Close your eyes" she told me so I listened "Breathe" she told me so I took a deep breath "Now, reach out" she told me so I did, I reached my hand out then I felt something in my hand! "I feel something!" I gasped "You feel it?" Rey asked "Yes, I feel it Master" I replied "Is it really strong with you?" Rey asked "I've NEVER felt anything like-" SLAP! I felt a HUGE stinging on my hand so I immediately opened my eyes and started shaking my hand "OW!!" I yelled "WHAT WAS THAT FOR!?" I yelled as I was rubbing my hand and it has a red mark on it which is definitely going to hurt for a while, I then saw the look on Rey's face and realized I made a mistake "You meant a different type of reach out, didn't you?" I asked in realization and she kept giving me an uncomfortable look "I'll try it again Master" I told her sitting up straight again then Rey set my hands on the wood of the ship "Reach out with your feelings" she told me so I closed my eyes and started focusing on reaching out with my feelings and.... I saw....different things?? "What do you see?" Rey asked me ".....The ship....life......death and decay....that feeds new life...." I told her what I can see that The Force is showing me ".....Warmth, cold....peace...violence..." I told her seeing the sun shining then trees getting blown by wind, then a family of birds in a tree then the violence of a war "And in between it all?" Rey asked "....Balance....an energy..... a Force..." I told her "And inside you?" Rey asked ".....Inside me...that exact same Force..." I told her "Very good Adrian, you have seen what The Force is" she told me then I was pulled back to my body and opened my eyes then got up "But..." I said thinking "I didn't see you" I told Rey "I didn't see a single thing from you Rey" I told her then Dante and Yip turned to me shocked that I couldn't see anything from Rey.... "You cut yourself off from The Force, didn't you?" I asked Rey and she stayed silent "You did, didn't you? Why?" I asked her "I have my reasons" she told me and went to her quarters belowdeck and I can't believe I actually had my very first lesson to become a Jedi! I actually SAW The Force! I hope I learn much more later on.
