As decided I got ready for the party. It was a floor-length blue gown with a floral lace design, paired with a blue hijab and white heels.
Mr Kaiser took me to a parlour. I urged the beautician to keep my makeup simple. She applied baby pink lipstick, dark Kohl and a little bit of foundation as makeup.
Mr Kaiser also gave me a Sapphire embedded silver ring, which would cost more than my whole life's savings. But it's only for a night. I'll return everything to him the next day. Hopefully, if he didn't taunt back that "I don't wear gowns."
Mr Kaiser was wearing a black tuxedo, with spectacles giving him a killer look. He was looking no less than any Hollywood star.
Both of us entered the party hall. My eyes were downcast but still, I could feel several gazes over myself.
"I am feeling uncomfortable," I said nervously.
"Why?" He whispered.
"Look, everyone is looking at us, at me."
"I can understand. You are not used to the spotlight. Just wait for a few minutes." He said understandably.
Some men came in our direction.
"Assalamulaikum, Mr Kaiser." greeted one of them. That man must be in his late fifties.
"Walaikum Assalam, Mr Zaid."
He did handshakes with all of them."Who's the young lady with you?" asked Mr Zaid.
"She is my Secretary Aqsa Nawaz."
"Nice to meet you, beta." He was talking to me.
"Nice to meet you too, uncle."
Such a nice man. At the first meeting, he called me beta. It comforted me to some extent."Come with me," said Mr Kaiser.
I quickly followed him.He brought me to a secluded corner of the hall. There was a table with two chairs. We sat there and he ordered soft drinks for both of us.
From this corner, we could see the whole party but others could barely find us sitting here.
"Mr Kaiser."
"Hmm?"
"Why you brought me to this party?"
"Because you are my Secretary."
"I don't think so."
"And why you don't think so?"
"I could observe, all the ladies present in the party were giving me deadly glares. You brought me with you to avoid flirtatious talks of those ladies."
"I must say, you are very smart."
"I know that," I stated proudly.
"But why me, not any other girl?"
