Kokichi sat at his usual table in the corner of Milksweet café, which was the only thing he could afford every morning. He stared mindlessly at his cracked phone screen, the content both boring him and being intriguing at the same time. He shifted his head to lean on his fist. Inside was warm, and the baked treats and coffee made for the perfect morning aroma. He was almost completely lost in his thoughts and the surrounding sensory that he didn't even notice someone walking up to him.

"Hey Ouma!" Kokichi snapped out of his trance and put his phone face down to face the voice.

He grinned up at the person and replied "Oh, hello Angie, what do you need?~"

The artist rolled her eyes at his fake charm.

"Well Ouma, you've been sitting in here for the past 25 minutes and you haven't ordered anything" Ouma perked up and looked to glace at the clock, it had been 25 minutes already. Not like he had anywhere he wanted to be, but it must've looked weird to sit there for so long.

Angie sighed and took a seat next to the boy, "look I know it's been rough, have you found any job openings yet?" Ouma stared at the table and shook his head "no" softly.

"Geez Ouma, I'd totally let you work here if I could." the artist started, "but you know how full my staff is.."

Ouma continued nodding, they had have this same conversation a thousand times.

"Hey Ouma, I'll tell you what, you're such a good customer to my business. I know what it's like to be broke like that, I could barely make a living off my art when I first started out. You can have whatever you want off the menu today, on the house, Atua will be watching over you!" Angie smiled widely and got out her notepad she used for orders. "Go on now!"

Ouma's eyes lit up widely, even though they only talked occasionally he considered the artist a good friend.

"Wow Angie I- that's really nice of you but I don't know if I could accept that-" the leader said humbly, he felt greedy. Even though he usually didn't think like that, there was something about this café that made him feel more soft.

"Ouma c'mon, order one thing? For me?"

Kokichi couldn't refuse now, "OK ok, but only for you." The artist's eyes sparkled as Kokichi picked up the menu to stare at it for a moment.

"Can I get one small cup of coffee, black please."

Angie blinked, Ouma almost always got the most sickeningly sweet things they had there. "Are you sure? Not even any cream or sugar?"

The leader nodded, he knew what he wanted.

Angie gave him one finally "Are you sure?" glance, before writing it down and rushing behind the counter to the store's kitchen.

Ouma sighed and looked back at his small electronic device, despite the kindness of his friend, Angie, he still felt empty. He was lonely, and more importantly, broke. He closed his eyes for a second, pondering where he was going to go after he left the shop.

Before he knew it the artist had arrived back from the kitchen and placed the dark liquid in front of the boy.

"One dark coffee just for Mr.Ouma!" Angie said dramatically. Kokichi chuckled to himself about the over the top girl.

"Pff, thanks Angie." the leader took the small cup and spun it towards him. But Angie didn't go, she pulled out a chair and sat next to the purple-haired boy once more.

"Hey, you see that building across the street right there?" Angie whispered to the leader, leaning in to his ear.

Outside was a tall, tan building. The sign had a huge logo that simply said "Burger King"
