Why you should help.
This is about fighting for human rights and justice. We all need to speak about the injustice and oppression Nigerians are facing.

The SARS unit have been accused of targeting young people who dress well to steal their money and torturing any others who resist. They attack youths also based on their hairstyles, tattoos, vehicles and electronics such as iPhones and Laptops. Amnesty International says it's documented more than 82 cases of abuse and killings from January 2017 to May 2020.

The Nigerian city of Lekki has become violent as armed forces gunned down anti-Sars protesters. The protesters were doing a peaceful protest by praying and singing their national anthem when members of the army opened fire on them. Within a few days of protests, the Nigerian Police Force announced they were ending SARS on Sunday, 11th October 2020. However, they made those same promises not too long ago and instead of ending them they reassigned SARS to medical centres.

Nobody has resigned.
Nobody has been sacked.
Nobody has been arrested.
People were shot in Lekki.
People were shot in Surulere.
People were shot in Mushin.
People were shot in every part of Nigeria.

Nigerians have shared both stories and videos of how members of SARS engaged in kidnapping, rape, theft, murder, unlawful arrests and killings in Nigeria.

The movement of Black Lives Matter also stands with helping the people of Nigeria who are under attack from the corrupted police. This is another example that reinforces the call for defunding the police worldwide. There's hope for Nigeria if we continue working for it and spreading awareness. The blood of those who died during this movement shall not be in vain.
