Alice nonchalantly looked around the room from where she sat at the bar. She was alone. She liked to be alone. Some of her Serpent friends were either dancing or playing pool, but she was enjoying her simple moment of peace.

The side of her eye caught movement so she turned to look swiftly. The all too familiar teenage boy came walking down the stairs sulking. He threw his letterman jacket back on with one of his sleeves getting stuck on the cast on his arm. He took a quick glance at Alice before storming out. He was more concerned with leaving than to stick around the Wyrm.

She turned back to see his father come out of the office room next. Based on the expressions on their faces she could conclude that they had had an argument in there. The Jones men weren't the kind to see each other eye to eye so Alice wasn't so surprised by their private interaction.

Alice decided to go catch up to him outside. She didn't really know why she felt the need to. "FP!" She yelled from behind. He heard her the second time. He stopped midstep and turned around. "You okay?"

"Just peachy," FP answered.

Alice crossed her arms. "I just wanted to know if you're doing alright. No need for the attitude."

FP let out a sigh. "Sorry," He apologized. "It was just a stupid argument with my old man, again."

"Do you want to talk about it?" She was all ears if he wanted to let it all out.

"Same ol', same ol'," FP shrugged.

"Is this about the Serpents?" Alice questioned. She knew about how often his father tried to pressure him into join the gang. To which he always refused.

"My mom left."

"Oh," Alice was not really sure what to say. He stared down at his feet. His mother deciding to leave really ached him. He was glad that she decided to leave his father once and for all, but he was hurt that he was left behind. The man hurt them both. He would have wanted to get away too. "I'm assuming that's what you two were fighting about."

FP slowly nodded. The frown on his face became more visible. "He kicked me out of the trailer. Told me to go to hell." He said so monotonously.

"He what?" Alice's eyes shot right up at him.

"If I'm going to blame him for my mom leaving then I better leave too." He stated what he was told.

"He can't just do that. It's his own fault not yours."

"I really don't care anymore." He sounded so defeated that it hurt Alice to listen to him. "I'm exhausted. I can't take any more of it. Maybe it's for the best I just get out now."

"Where are you going to go?"

"I'll figure it out." He hasn't thought that far out yet. He has only been homeless about five minutes now. "I just know it's not that trailer."

"There's room for you at my place," She offered. It was pretty empty with only two women taking up space. "I doubt my mom would even notice you were there."

"It's okay," FP appreciated the offer, but he didn't want to impose. "I'll be alright."

"If you change your mind, you always know where to go."

"I know," FP offered her a smile. "Thank you, Al."

"We take care of our own," Alice knew he wasn't a Serpent, but he was by blood. The laws included him too.

FP nodded back at her. "I'll see you around," She heard him say before he disappeared into the distance.
