The feud between the northside and the southside stressed FP more than he already was. He couldn't think straight without wondering what was going to happen next. Something chaotic was going to happen. He felt it. His Serpents wanted vengeance for Fang's announced death. Him included. This young Serpent fell under his watch. He couldn't tolerate that.

"This is a mistake," Jughead began to complain to his father. "You can see that, right? We would be going in blind, dad." He had been the only Serpent to go against the idea of going to war. "Would you listen to me for two seconds? For all we know, the Ghoulies outnumber us one hundred to one."

"Don't you think I know that!" FP yelled his frustrations at the boy. He sprang up from his chair and walked away from him. "Boy, I have been doing this a lot longer than you have. And we voted, if we're going down, we're going down fighting." He turned on his heel and made his way towards the door. He wasn't going to listen to this any longer. "As far as being outnumbered, I'll rally the reserves. They'll fight." He gave him one last look before storming out. The door slammed shut behind him. He walked down to his truck and climbed in. He didn't know where he was going but he had to leave.

He sat in his truck for a good five minutes. In that time it finally struck him. He was no stranger to what was going on in this town, especially the part he called home. Everything was slowly getting claimed. And to who other than the man who once paid him and his Serpents to trash the first thing off of his list? The beloved Twilight drive in. He wasn't proud of that choice. It only started to escalate from there.

He pulled his phone out and dialed the arrogant man. He could hear his egocentric voice on the other end. "FP Jones, to what do I owe the pleasure?"

"How much is this all costing you?" FP dove straight into it. He had his suspicions in regards to Hiram.

"What are you talking about?"

"Don't act so clueless. You've been putting your hands on everything. But you couldn't get your hands on us anymore. We stupidly helped you before, but you couldn't buy us with your money anymore. That was where you hit a bump in the road. Now you're punishing us. You hired Penny and those Ghoulies to bring us down. You fueled the riot craze. You got a teenage boy killed!"

"I did nothing of that sort."

"Don't kid yourself. You've stirred enough trouble in this town. Why make it worse?"

"You sound just as crazy as your son with your crazy conspiracies."

"Leave my boy out of this."

"Keep him out of my affairs then. You better learn to keep him in check. Why don't you take notes from your old man? It seemed to work for you. Your son has no business snooping around."

"I'm only warning you, Hiram." It enraged FP to hear him talk about his son. The mention of his father only made matters worse. He looked back at the trailer. His son was in there. Still angry or not. He would be against everything they were arguing about over the phone.

"I don't have time for this nonsense, Jones."

He didn't know where his next words would come from, but he intended to protect his son and the Serpents he led. He knew more would get hurt tonight if he let them fight.

He hasn't seen his daughter in years. He knows she's safer away from this town, but it hurts him to have her so far away. He found out he already has lost a son. He can't lose another because of this civil war.

Jughead would hate him forever if he let this happen. Regardless to what he had already told him about going to war, he changed his mind. "I have no idea how much this is costing you, but I'm willing to propose a counter offer."
