Romeo and Juliet

Lucas and I came back to being girlfriends and boyfriends. After that huge gesture Lucas did at the stadium made my heart melt. I can't believe Lucas and Farkle did that for us.

I can't believe time has gone by so fast. It is now close to Spring break. So close to Summer. I walked around the school and noticed a sign up sheet for Romeo and Juliet.

I instantly daydreamed about Lucas and I.

"Eyes, look your last. Arms, take your last embrace. And, lips, oh, you the doors of breath, seal with a righteous kiss." After the phrase he said, he leaned in a little, but my mind was getting blurry. "Riley, Riley, Riley, he said repeating it over.

I snapped out of my thoughts and saw Maya repeating my name for the last few minuets.

"What is it Maya?" I said. I kept on staring at Maya and nodded my head repeatedly pretending I'm listening. As Maya was talking, my mind is running off somewhere.

"Riley, I have something to tell you. You and I have known each other for three years...will you marry me?" He asked looking into my eyes. I didn't want to reply fast, so I waited for one minuet and finally said yes to him.

"Riley, the bell rung." Maya said interrupting my daydream again. "Maya, I'm going to go audition for Romeo and Juliet. You should totally come and try out." I said smiling.

Maya gave me a disgusting face look. Okay, here's the deal. Maya doesn't like to do plays, not for attention, but for embarrassment she did when she played Dorothy in fifth grade.

"Fine, I'll go, but I'm only doing this for you!" Maya said punching my arm lightly. I truly did love my best friend. Wouldn't trade her for anyone else.

Maya and I arrived at our World History and saw our boyfriends. We waved to them and they waved back.

"Lucas, you should try out for Romeo and Juliet!!" I said excitedly. "Sure, I'll do it." He said smiling back.

After school ended, all four of us went to the theatre. Our theatre was humongous. It was the size of the globe theatre during Shakespeare's time. I looked straight ahead and saw Missy auditioning for Romeo and Juliet. I stared at her while she auditioned.

"Romeo, Romeo,where art thou Romeo?" She said with a dramatic voice. Psh I can do so much better I said to myself.

All four of us sat down until it was my turn already. I didn't even had time to relax, now I'm all nervous. I got up the staircase and Missy came down bumping me with her shoulder.

"Oh, I'm sorry! Didn't see you there Hun." She said with her snarky remarks. "Well jokes on you Missy! You must be blind." I said in my head. I ignored her and stood in the centre.

I took a deep breathe and started.

"Romeo, Romeo, where art though Romeo?" I said with my best dramatic voice. After I auditioned, It was time for Lucas to audition for Romeo.

I stared at him throughout his audition and was hook onto it. The way he said those words melts my heart. After he was done I couldn't help, but to clap loudly. Everyone around me turned and I got embarrassed.

When everyone auditioned, we waited for who got the part. Mr. Russell pinned the cast list onto the billboard and everyone basically rushed to it. I waited for everyone to be done and hoped I got the part of Juliet.

I looked at the list and I gasped. I can't believe Missy is going to be Juliet and Lucas is Romeo. I was the understudy. I looked at my friends and frowned.
