Memory Loss

Kayla
I was really enjoying my time with Lucas. Everything about him is just perfect. Now I need to make it official.

"Hey, Katie do you mind taking a picture of me and Lucas kissing?" I said whispering in her ears. Katie was my first friend ever to help me with problems I've been having. She is spectacular, wouldn't trade her for anything.

"Sure, but how are you going to get Lucas to kiss you?" She said playing Candy Crush on her phone. I thought real hard about this plan.

What should I do? How about this, we distract Lucas and when he's distracted he will trip over an item and topple onto you. Plus you will get your eye moment and then kiss. I truly did like this plan.

Katie and I have been displaying ideas on what to do and this on the board. We pin point where Lucas would stand and what item for him to trip over. After we finished planning all this we went out to Ben and Jerry's for an ice cream.

We sat on the bench outside and someone was yelling my name. I looked around and saw Lucas running towards me. This made me smile inside and out.

"Lucas, what's wrong?" I said taking bites of my peach ice cream. He finally arrived and started panting. "I-It's that I wanted to know if you want to hang out sometimes." He said finally catching his breathe. I remained calm, even though I want to scream the answer in his face.

My mind ran back to the time when Lucas and I started dating.

~FLASHBACK~

I was walking to school and as always I'm clumsy for tripping over things. I found myself being caught by this cute boy.

"Hi, I'm so sorry for making a mess." I said staring into those beautiful blue eyes of his. "It's fine. My name is Lucas." He said greeting me. "Nice to meet you Lucas, the name is Rachel." I said shaking his hand.

We've been talking a whole lot during school year, and I was head over heels with Lucas. We've started dating, and every girl in school was green with envy.

Later on he had to move away from me. So I hung up posters and pictograms of Lucas in my room. I literally wanted to kill his parents for separating us.

~PRESENT~

"Sure, do you want to go to the beach tomorrow?" I said taking more bites of my ice cream. "Sure. See you there." He said smiling. He walked away and I gave my best friend a high five.

Why did I just ask Kayla for a kind of date thing? Because your in denial!! But I'm being friendly to her. Still, you need to tell her you have a girlfriend.

I shook off the feeling and got to bed, ready for the beach tomorrow.

~SATURDAY~

Today is the day I tell Kayla that I have a girlfriend. My mind was right all along. I do need to tell her, instead of holding this information back.

I put on my beige shorts and a white v-neck. Checked myself in the long view mirror and was ready to go.

I rode my bike to the beach and waited for Kayla. As I arrived at the beach, I saw Kayla standing there looking gorgeous. What did you just say? I didn't say anything.

Kayla looked at my direction and waved, so I decided to wave back. Kayla motioned me
To come over, and I did so. As I was walking up almost close to Kayla, I tripped on a turtle and landed on top of Kayla.

Our eyes met, and I felt the urge to kiss her, but my mind is telling me not to. Please don't do it Lucas. And without knowing what I was doing, I was kissing Kayla.
