Artemis of the Blue - Romantic Headcanons

Requested by - My overbearing love for sharks

Warnings/Notes → Once again, old writing + I haven't actually watched much of her recent stuff, so this is all from around her debut time, so it's probably rather ooc for her.

🦈 First date 🦈

As a shark of the blue, Artemis had almost begged to out on a sushi bar binge night for a first date. You didn't really have any other ideas for a date and happily went along with it.

Artemis prefers the places that don't cook the food right in front of you, because while it is really cool, it also makes her really hungry.

Artemis ended up eating most of the sushi you both ordered because as a shark she couldn't really help herself. She was slightly embarrassed about that and in return paid for a majority of the food, but all in all you had a pretty good time and got to know a fair bit about each other.

🦈 First kiss 🦈

Artemis is a shark that loves to have an afternoon nap every now and then, and she loves it even more when you join her. Your first kiss happened during one of these situations.

One thing you should know, Artemis is usually very groggy and uncensored when she first wakes up, so she doesn't really think before she acts.

You had just woken up and it had been clear that Artemis had just done so too. Her eyes were half closed and she had a small smile on her face, and she simply just leant over slightly and placed a small kiss on your lips before saying a groggy, 'Good morning'.

🦈 Getting sick 🦈

Since Artemis spent a majority of her life in the ocean, her human body hasn't really gotten used to all the different bacteria on land, so this often results in her getting sick fairly often.

She doesn't like being sick because you're the one who helps look after her and because she doesn't like the feeling of having someone look after her. It's not a pride thing, it's more a she's embarrassed about it thing.

Anyway, when she's sick, Artemis's already slightly raspy voice becomes much more so. She also becomes a lot more tired, so she sleeps a lot more. You become the big spoon since she doesn't want to risk getting you sick, but she's so used to you sleeping with her that she finds it really hard to sleep without you.

🦈 Jealousy 🦈

You don't really get too jealous of others. While you're not a fan of the semi-flirtatious tweets between domo and Artemis, you do feel a lot better when Artemis jokes about smacking him around with a metal beam.

The questions she receives from her fans asking her to marry them don't really tick you off, you just find them funny. Especially when Artemis comes up with her stupid ways to let them down.

:Miscellaneous:

🦈 She will 100% call you 'her bottom-feeder' around your friends and family. You cannot stop her

🦈 You end up having to buy several toothbrushes throughout the week since Artemis has trouble keeping her intact. Turns out shark teeth are rather hard to brush with regular human toothbrushes. Who would've guessed

🦈 Big cuddle bug. Will absolutely hug you absolutely anywhere. Going shopping? Artemis will hug you. Driving? Artemis will have her arm wrapped around you. She's also tried to join you in the shower a few times, because y'know, as a shark being naked in the water is just kind've second nature for her

🦈 You sometimes have to physically stop Artemis from bringing various objects straight from the ocean into the house. Especially seaweed. No, Artemis, I don't care if the seaweed is comfortable underwater, it is slimy and wet on land and it will get icky everywhere and probably mould so it has to stay in the ocean

🦈 Not very easily flustered, will openly ask you to sneeze in her mouth because she's just like that. Don't question it

🦈 If you are someone who doesn't wake up easily, Artemis will bring out her weapon of choice. Her baritone horn. You're just glad that you have thick wall and no nearby neighbours. However, you aren't so happy that she has her musical instrument on hand 24/7 because if Artemis is plagued with awake-ness, you have to suffer too

🦈 Artemis is mostly the big spoon when it comes to cuddling, but she's more than happy to be the small spoon once in a while. Just ask, although her tail might get in the way. It's very chonky and can be good to cuddle if she has a tail cover on, however if it's just her bare tail her little scales are rather irritating

🦈 She would definitely have to do a double-take if she ever saw you in her hoodie, and then she would immediately try and slip in it beside you as well. No personal space, especially since you took her hoodie in the first place. You signed up for this, whether you knew it or not

🦈 Artemis doesn't like it when anyone touches her fin. On the rare occasion, she may let you touch it, but only for a little bit because it feels weird and is filled with nerve endings. It's also why she isn't a back sleeper of any sort

🦈 Very clingy whenever she wants to be, but more of a chilled and laid back type of clingy. Arm around the shoulder so she looks all cool, but behind closed doors she loves to sneak up behind you and just wrap her arms around you
