Each trainer is a victim of this Pokéball, and the Pokémon inside of it. The Pokémon is MissingNo. It was caught by a trainer once, and had cursed the Pokéball that it now lives inside.

Many trainers have mistook it for some items, some TM's, or even just as a free Pokéball. They grab it, they inspect it, they place it in their bag.

Everything's fine for a while. They beat Giovanni, and head for the Elite 4. They get there, ready to face Lorelei and her Ice Pokémon, but MissingNo. rips the trainer's team apart.

They all die.

The trainer's left devastated, and MissingNo.'s Pokéball begins to leak blood out of it. Due to this, the Pokéball was given the nickname "The Bloody Pokéball."

Some stupid trainers believe it as a myth, and it's just something Team Rocket made up to scare everyone. But the same thing happens to them, they get cursed, and become a victim of The Bloody Pokéball.

The very few trainers who believe in the myth and leave the Pokéball alone and successfully beat the Elite4 and become Champion.

MissingNo. is still looking for victims. Every second of it's life it's looking for victims. Just innocent trainers who decide to take it with them on their adventure.

Where is MissingNo. from? Nobody knows. Professor Oak keeps wanting to study it but know that if he goes near The Bloody Pokéball then he'll become a victim.

Lots of theories have been made:
Maybe it was Arceus' fail of creating Giratina,
Maybe it created the egg Arceus came from,
Maybe it's just another version of Arceus that also hatched from the egg,
The possibilities are endless.

Or maybe, it's nothing to do with Arceus. Maybe it's the humans who created it. A glitch, if you wanna say.

How the trainer caught it is the real mystery. Where'd they find it? How'd they catch it? Why did MissingNo. allow itself to be caught?

Not a lot of trainers go to Kanto for their adventures anymore, one main reason is because of MissingNo's Pokéball.

Plus, the other regions seem safer. Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar.

Which is good for Professor Oak, as he can spend more time trying to learn more about MissingNo.

Apparently it's appearance is one of a glitch, lots and lots of Pokémon all clumped into one. It can devastate anyone who looks at it for too long.

It also raises the question of who the trainer was that caught it, and why they didn't fall into MissingNo's wrath.

The trainer was never recorded to be cursed. In fact, they beat the Elite4 and became Champion, all with MissingNo. by their side.

That trainer continued to carry on their journey across regions, and MissingNo. never seemed to bother them. Heck, the trainer probably forgot about MissingNo.

Or did they?
