Professor McGonagall was beaming as she began her lesson on how to transform chair to a closet. She was very happy, very happy indeed as her star student, Harry Potter won Gryffindor multiple points for helping another student from another house. Although he looked and had a bit of his father within him, she smiled as he talked to other people from opposite houses like his mother would and that made her very proud.
As soon as the lesson was over, Harry stood up and packed his bags to begin to leave but he heard McGonagall clear her throat.
"Ahem, Mr. Potter, a word please," she said smiling.
Harry nodded and went to Professor McGonagall's desk. "Yes Professor?"
"Mr. Potter," she began. "I am very proud of what you did this morning in the great hall."
"Thank you professor," said Harry. "But I was just doing what any good gentleman would do in that situation."
"I don't think so Mr. Potter," she said shaking her head. "Not even the kindest Hufflepuff would defend Miss Greengrass if they had the choice, the discrimination against Slytherin is just too strong."
"Daphne just helped me when I was feeling down, Professor," said Harry smiling. "I just wanted to return the favor."
"Thats good Mr. Potter, maybe you and Ms. Greengrass will be the step needed to unify Gryffindor and Slytherin one day," she said smiling.
"Thank you Professor," he said as he turned and was about to walk out of the classroom when he heard Professor McGonagall call him again.
"Yes Professor?"
"I just forgot to remind you that the headmaster wishes to speak to you before lunch after your potions class with Professor Snape." she said calmly. "The password is Treacle Tart."
Harry nodded and exited the classroom. He headed to his next class with Trelawney, which he and Hermione would just stay at the back and doze off, which wasn't new for Hermione. Ron decided to keep his distance from his "friends" because they were "consorting with the enemy." Finally came potions, waiting outside of the classroom was Daphne and her friend, Tracey Davis.
"Hello Daphne" greeted Harry in his "pureblood" mask.
"Harry," she replied, she then motioned to Tracey. "This is my best friend Tracey Davis, she's a half blood but bloody brilliant in runes."
Harry smiled as he got Tracey's hand and softly kissed it. "A pleasure to meet you Ms. Davis, may I commend how beautiful you look today?"
Tracey blushed before smiling and whispering cheekily to Daphne. "You better take him now before I grab him from you."
Daphne broke her cold mask in a blush. "You better not Tracey..."
Soon, they entered the room silently to a glaring Draco Malfoy. He was sneering at Harry but took a breath and decided to approach Daphne.
"Hello Greengrass," said Malfoy cockily, as if forgetting the events of this morning. "Would you like to be my potions partner today?"
Daphne rolled her eyes. "No Malfoy, I do not want to be your potions partner as I already have one."
"Huh? No! Your bloody lying!" he sputtered.
From the back, Harry came in front of Malfoy and faced Daphne. "Ms. Greengrass Will you be my potions partner?"
"Of course Potter, I'd be honored," she said smiling. "And Malfoy, I am sure Parkinson would pay galleons to be your partner, just look at her pitiful pug face."
