They soon arrived at Sharptooth's office, it was well lit and very well furnished. On the right side was a bookshelf with a myriad of books while on the left were paintings of his past generations posing with Sharptooth. He couldn't help but smile when he saw his mother and father in one frame, Lily was holding him in a small bundle which made him sad but happy.
Soon, three chairs were formed and they sat respectfully on them. Sharptooth cleared his throat and brought out a few folders.
"Let's begin, shall we?" he said formally.
"Of course, please continue Sharptooth," said Harry.
Sharptooth nodded. "It seemed a mystery whenever I sent a letter to you, it came unanswered, I was wondering where you were. I began checking my files and found out that Albus Dumbledore was your magical guardian, by default."
"What do you mean by default?" Harry asked.
"Given he is Headmaster of Hogwarts, there is an ancient law dated to 1775 that should any child of magic find himself abandoned or orphaned and no one could take care of him, by default, the headmaster of Hogwarts shall become his magical guardian. In your case, your parents were killed whereas your godfather was imprisoned while your godmother went insane..."
"My godmother?"
"Your godmother was Alice Longbottom, she would have taken care of you but she was tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange and went insane and therefore she was unable to take care of you."
"I understand," said Harry. "And what was in the letters?"
"I found out that many transactions were taking place without your knowledge, from your family accounts and I was surprised who was doing these transactions."
"What do you mean?"
Sharptooth handed him a folder and Harry's eyes widened when he read the print.

Harry looked in shock, Dumbledore was paying his aunt? And she never told him. All she said about being forced to take care of him was a lie, she was being payed, that damn horse and that walrus and their son. Harry also was hurt by the fact that his friendship with Ron was a lie, a mere facade, at least no other Weasley was being payed but it still hurt. He took a breath and collected himself before continuing.
