"Let's do this," I said with a confident smirk, grabbing a pistol on the way out of the apartment, knowing it'll be extremely difficult to kill a zombie with a knife. Though, I still brought it with anyway. 12 led the way downstairs into my shop, luckily the zombies didn't get in. Once we got to the door, 12 looked at me as we both nodded and she swung it open. Now I get to see them for myself.

Once the door was open, we fled back so they couldn't get to us. They were pretty slow. We began shooting, 12 obviously had more expertise in shooting, while I've honestly never shot anyone in my life, though I have fired a gun a few times. 12 got most of them, while I missed most, though I did get two. There were 7 of them. As soon as we started shooting, though, I swear I could hear some action background music. It had to have been the most badass thing I've ever done in my life.

12 wasn't kidding when she said they looked pale. But they looked like normal people none the less since all it takes a bite. So all they had were a bitemark or two. Nothing like the movies, but the fact that they're lifeless and still alive is frightening.

Once they were all down, and there was no sign of any more coming, for now, we stood up and looked at each other. 12 was proud, having a smirk on her face. As for me, I acted cool, but the thought of me shooting people, dead or alive, is scary for me and I was a bit shaken up. Even though I would never admit it. "Thank goodness none of them were people I know.." I whispered to myself in relief.

I walked towards one of them I shot, bending down to examine him. His hand rose up to me as he sat up. This took me by surprise and it scared the shit out of me, so my reflexes decided to have me jump back and shoot him in the head 4 times out of shock. "FUCK YOU, STUPID ZOMBIE!" I screeched.

12 ran over to me, pulling me away and rubbing my shoulder. "Hey, it's okay, you got him. You did good" She assured me, gently taking the gun out of my hands and hugging me. I was still trying to calm down, but I hugged back.

"S-stupid zombie.." I mumbled, trying to joke, but still shaken up.

"Yeah, they are stupid, aren't they? Trying to get back up with you there. No one messes with my baby" She said, trying to make me feel better. It worked.

I smiled, putting my face in the crease of her neck. 12 gently rubbed my back.

After a few seconds, I backed away and looked down at the dead, uh, dead. "So, what do we do about them?" I asked.

12 looked down at them and shrugged. "Well, we can bring one in to look at," She said jokingly. But that didn't sound like such a bad idea to me, so I thought about it for a moment. 12 noticed this. "Wait, you're not actually considering doing that, are you..?" She asked worriedly.

I looked at her. "Well, if we brought one in, we could examine them and see what caused them to become undead. We can also see if they have certain organs, seeing what they can and can't live without" I suggested.

"Well, you do make a fair point... But how would we get them in here? We can't touch them" 12 stated.

"You're right because dead bodies are deadly, but I have some hazmat suits. I'll go get them, you can guard the shop" I said, beginning to go upstairs. "Oh, and if you run out of ammo in case more come, there's a Glock in the drawer of my desk," I said as I headed into my apartment and into my room.

"Of course you do," I heard 12 say to herself with a chuckle. I went into my room and went to the closet, grabbing two yellow hazmat suits. I never knew if I would need them or not, and decided to get one for 12 in case she would come if there was a fall-out. Once I got them and returned to the shop, 12 was outside, guarding the shop. It made me giggle a bit. "I have our suits, dear" I said and saw that 12 turned to me with a smile. She headed towards me and took one of the suits.

12 examined it, raising a brow. "Isn't this a bit.. small?" She asked, then looked at me as I giggled.

"That's because that one is mine, silly" I traded hers for mine, and we put them on over our clothes. "It's pretty uncomfortable with having a dress under this" I chuckled.

"Well, this was your idea" 12 half-joked as she secured her face shield.

"Well, technically, it was yours. Even if you were joking" I said matter-of-factly. 12 rolled her eyes playfully then looked at the zombies. "So, what's the plan?" She asked.

"Well, I have a few tables in the bunkers, we can take the zombies there to examine them. We take one girl, one boy, to see if one is different than the other. Well, in terms of killing them and such" I explained. 12 nodded. "I'll take a guy, you can take a girl"

"Will do, but first we have to move the rest out of the way from my shop," I said, looking down at the other 5.

12 nodded once more and we began to drag 5 of the 7 zombies away from the building. We left two, one male, one female. When we were done, we locked up the door and I put the woman over my shoulder, as did 12 with the male. We headed down to the bunker, and once we got down, we put the zombies down.

I stretched a bit, glad to have all that weight off my shoulder, quite literally. I went to go get the two tables that are next to the shelves. They're white folding tables, just long and sturdy enough to hold a zombie.

Once everything was set up, I got my knife and 12 got hers. I positioned it to cut into the female's torso. Then I looked over at 12 "Ready?" I asked.

"Ready as ever"
