Part 11: The one that got away

The next morning you wake up next to Fred. You can't help but stare because of how happy you are and nothing can change it. "Take a picture princess it lasts longer" he smirks you immediately blush and playfully push him "oh shut it!" He pulls you close and gives you a long soft kiss. "We should get ready we still have class." You begin to get up but he pulls you down. "We can't stay in today?" He whines "I've missed a lot of classes already I really shouldn't my love" you give him a quick kiss and begin getting ready in the bathroom. He sighs "yeah you're right. I have to go get stuff from my dorm but I'll be back to walk to breakfast" He goes to you and gives you a kiss on the cheek and heads out the door.

About 45 minutes later you are fully ready and you are ahead of schedule it's about to be breakfast so you just hope Fred makes it on time. Fred comes not long after and you both head to the Great hall to meet up with your friends. You decide to sit with Gryffindor for today since everyone is neutral at the moment besides Hermione , Ron and Hope. Hermione hasn't spoke to Hope every since she found out what happened with her and Ron. Fred sat next to George and I sat next to Fred and Hermione sat next to me. On the other side it was Hope in front of George then Ron and Harry then Ginny. Hermione was quiet all through breakfast and I tried to talk to her but all she did was look down and mumble. You look at Hope and Ron and Ron had just whispered something into Hope's ear. She giggles and leans to give Ron and kiss on the cheek. Hermione then slammed her fork on the table and got up and stormed out. Everybody couldn't help but stare in shock. You and Ginny get up and chase after her. You hear Hope begin to get up "Hope don't. Please." You plead and she sits back down and you catch up with Ginny. First you both check her dorm, then the library , then the courtyard but nothing. You checked the girls bathroom and still nothing it was close to class time and you guys couldn't find her."We have to get to class y/n if she doesn't show up for potions we will look for her during lunch and break" Ginny says. "Alright I'll meet you at her dorm after classes! " you both rush to Snape's class just on time. You take a quick scan of the class and no sign of Hermione you take your seat next to Harry. "Hey.. did you find mione?" Harry asks concerned. You shake your head. "Psst y/n!" You hear someone whisper you ignore it at first. "Y/n!" The person whispers louder a second time. You turn around confused. It was Draco. "Oh Draco sorry what did you need?" "Try the astronomy tower. I saw the mudblood head that way." He says you can tell he doesn't mean what he calls her maybe Hermione has grown on him. "Draco watch what you say about her" you warn. "I'll check after class" you say "I want to come with you" you're shocked but you agree. "Ms.Mikaelson and Mr.Malfoy! Not focusing in my class are we? Detention both of you!" He snaps. You turn around to face the front and you hear Draco let out a chuckle you try hard not to smile or let out a laugh "sorry sir." Is all that comes out and he begins teaching once again.

After class you and Draco start running down to the astronomy tower. Fred walks up to snapes class as Harry was leaving "hey where is y/n?" He asks Harry . Harry shrugs his shoulders "I'm not sure I saw her and Malfoy leave together." Fred's face falls and Harry realizes what he just said "I-I don't think it means anything I think it's about Hermione." He trys to make it sound better but Fred just walks away. Harry sighs "oh y/n is going to kill me.."

You and Draco reach the astronomy tower and hear sobs from the top you start running up the stairs and Draco trailed behind. You see Hermione and run to her and practically tackle her pulling her into a hug. She cries into your shoulder . You grab her face "Hermione talk to me what's wrong you wipe her tears" Draco finally reaches the top "what is he doing here?" She points at Draco. "He told me you'd be here. I don't think he means any harm I promise if he does anything stupid I will make sure he regrets it okay?" You comfort her. "Alright.. well maybe I should explain why im acting so crazy lately. I've gained feelings for Ron." She begins "weaslebee? Seriously out of everyone!?" Draco says shocked. "Yes Draco. Ron Weasley and ever since Hope came that's all he cares or talks about. I thought he felt the same at one point but I guess it was a misunderstanding or something and I do want him to be happy but it's so hard and I just can't do it anymore!" Tears are steaming down her face and Draco has no clue what to do. "Listen how about you and I stay away from the Gryffindors for awhile and have our own couple of days just you and I and maybe Fred if that's all right with you." You begin "if Fred's aloud I want to come!" Draco chimes. Hermione let's out a giggle "can Ginny and Luna come?" She says with tears still in her eyes as she looks at you both. "Of course!" You say. She smiles and pulls you both in a hug " thank you..both of you I should head to class I can't afford to miss another class" she rushes down the stairs and you and Draco trail behind. "So. You didn't say one mean thing to Hermione. Is THE Draco Malfoy going soft?" You tease. He laughs "No no I just don't want to be like my father anymore." He says as you reach the stairs and run into Fred. He looks upset. "Hey love!" You call him but he doesn't smile or anything when he walks up. "Can I talk to you?" He whispers in your ear.Draco looks confused "yeah of course. I'll see you later Draco." You wave goodbye as Fred pulls you to the side. "Where did you two go?" He asks "uh we went to look for Hermione. He said he saw her go to the astronomy tower and asked if he could come with when I went to talk to her." You say. He looks down and he seems angry but you can tell. You push his face up to look at you. " hey what's wrong?" He looks at you "You ditched me to go with Draco. You were supposed to meet me after Snape's class but I hear from Harry you run of with Malfoy!" His voice raises a bit in anger. You caress his face "I'm so sorry.. I am my love! It totally slipped my mind i was worried about Hermione! You have to understand that." He looks down "you're right I'm sorry. I don't know why just seeing him with you makes me upset. I know you would never do anything but Malfoy who knows with him." He says embarrassed "he's not like that anymore Fred he understands we are just friends. I want you and only you! By the way Hermione , Luna, Ginny , Me and Draco want to spend a few days away from the Gryffindor drama and I would like if you joined us. It's completely you're decision but it's a chance for you to get to see Draco has changed " you wrap your arms around his neck and look up at him. He can't help but smile and his hands slither to your waist he pulls you close. "Fine. I'll be there but if Draco says one wrong thing or does something he will regret it." You laugh "fine . I'll see you tomorrow and we will work out plans together!" You smile and give him a long passionate kiss before you both rush to class obviously a bit to late.

Okay I just want to clear some things! There has been a year jump I didn't include it in when writing but I had it in my head as I was writing! So now you are in year 4! And have been for the last couple parts haha! That's my bad and I'm sorry for not uploading! I'm going to start posting more hopefully and maybe I can start a new book for Klaus and Caroline's child like my TikTok series! Let me know some ideas if you have any!
