Sam was getting worried. By now he should have heard from Kalysta. Something was wrong and he was beginning to feel uneasy.

Hey, have you heard from Kaly?

Yeah, she's home. She's okay, just kinda taking everything in. I'm sure she'll call as soon as possible ❤️

What's wrong? What's going on?

He was beginning to panic. If Kalysta was upset, he wanted to be there to comfort her. He needed to be there for her. But he also knew that she had to ask him to go. She had to give him consent. He couldn't force anything on her and he didn't want to.

I'll tell you everything when I get home, I promise🤞🏻. Should be heading home soon.

He breathed in a deep breath to calm his nerves and let her know that he was going to take a long hot shower but that his phone would be kept close by. It wasn't until he laid in bed after the shower and turned on his tv that he received the contact he'd been waiting for and his phone began to ring.

"Hey, sweetheart, you okay?"

"Yes," Kalysta replied. "I'm okay, it's just been a long day."

She sounded exhausted and he could sense through the phone that she was upset about something. Something was very clearly bothering her and he sat up in bed.

"Are you sure you're okay, babe?" He answered with a knitted brows. "Do you want to talk about it?"

"Sammy..." He tensed and frowned at the sound of her soft sniffling from behind the phone.

"Hey...what's wrong, love?"

"I'm sorry, I know it's getting late...but would it be too forward of me to ask you to come over? I could really use your company..."

She didn't have to ask twice.

"Send me your address, sweetheart." He jumped up from his bed, slipped on a pair of sweatpants and a v-neck shirt, and pulled on a pair of sneakers. By the time he finished getting dressed he'd received the message with her address, and the GPS indicated she was in the mountains about 20 minutes from him. "Got it, sweetheart. I'll be there in ten."

"Be careful please."

"I will," he said snatching his keys and helmet from their place near his bedroom door. "You just relax and wait for me, alright?"

"Okay, thank you, Sammy."

"I will always be wherever you need me to be, whenever you need me to be there."

"I know," she sniffled. "See you soon."

"Soon baby."

Once she ended the call, he stepped out onto the balcony of his bedroom and leapt from the second floor to the grass of the back yard with a soft thud. From there he ran toward the open car port, tugged off the protective sheet on his motorcycle, started the engine, and sped off into the night as fast the bike would take him.

When he pulled off of the interstate and eventually onto the long windy road that would lead to her property, he took notice of the fact that she lived pretty deep into the mountains. He'd never been to her side of town and he kicked himself for it because it was absolutely beautiful. Tall thick trees cloaked the roads in darkness so heavily that the moon couldn't even peek through. It was secluded and far enough away from civilization that he was sure that if he could see through the trees, he'd likely be able to get a gorgeous view of the stars.

His tires slowed as he turned onto the long, narrow private road leading to her home, and when he pulled up to the tall iron gates he stared stunned at the large home resting beyond them. He'd never really thought about the kind of house she lived in, but with as high tech as her office was, her pricey taste in accessories, and the expensive Maserati she drove, he didn't at all expect the enormous cozy looking home before him.
