"Hurry up, Harry!" I yelled, dragging my trunk off the train. We had just arrived at Hogsmeade Station, preparing to go back up to the castle. Hagrid was there, making sure all the students came back from their holiday. Harry, Ron and I walked up to Hagrid, smiling.
"Ah, here yeh all are! Missed yeh lot. Well then, go catch a carriage. Not yeh, Y/N, I wan' ter talk to yeh."
The others went forward but I hung back with Hagrid.
"How are yeh feelin'?"
"Good." I said, nodding.
"Are yeh on speakin' terms with Ron again? Did yeh figure things ou'?"
I nodded, looking at Ron who was just entering the carriage.
"Yeah, I'd say so." I said, grinning.
"Well then. Run along now, and make sure yeh visit me soon!" He shouted as I went to climb into the carriage with the others.
I closed the door behind me. I squashed in next to Ron, opposite Harry.
"Are you excited for Quidditch tomorrow?" Asked Harry.
"Oh, right! I had completely forgotten!" I exclaimed. We had a final Quidditch match against Hufflepuff. If we won, we would have enough points to win the Quidditch Cup, so it was incredibly important that we did our very best. I looked at Ron who nodded enthusiastically.
Hogwarts soon came into view, glorious as ever. The towers stood high, the windows were lit up, and soon we pulled in front of the school and we went in. The three of us went up to the Common Room, where we said hello to everyone.
"Hi Neville! Thanks for the Christmas card." I said when I saw him. He smiled back.
I soon went upstairs, needing a good rest for the game tomorrow. Yet I still couldn't get the moment of Ron and I almost snogging in his kitchen from my mind. I fell asleep, imagining how the scene would have continued, had we not been interrupted...

The roaring crowds made me feel nervous. We were standing in the room under the seating of the stadium, preparing to fly out as a team just before the match began. I looked down at my Snitch necklace and tucked it under my Quidditch robes. I looked back at Ron, who had a hard, focused look on his face. As soon as he saw me looking at him, however, he burst into a massive goofy grin. I laughed.
"Gryffindor!" Yelled the commentator. We mounted our brooms and flew out, welcomed by cheering masses. We flew around a bit and then came to the center for the beginning of the game.
The whistle blew, and the balls went up into the air. I felt extremely nervous. I began flying slowly around the stadium, searching for the Snitch, yet I couldn't help constantly glancing at Ron, who was watching the Quaffle in full concentration.
George Weasley flew beside me.
"Oi, eyes off Ronald! Look for the Snitch and win us this bloody game!" He flew away. My face turned red.
I flew higher over the stadium, feeling pressure to win. I started sweating profusely, extremely nervous. I felt my necklace flutter.
I squinted around and saw that the Hufflepuff Seeker was flying speedily. I panicked, realising he was tailing the Snitch. I turned my broomstick and raced after him. It was going to be close, so very close.
I was catching up and soon came side by side with the Seeker, eyes on the Snitch. I put my arm out, but it was just out of reach. I struggled to go any faster, but then I heard a voice.
"Come on, Y/N!" I heard Ron yell at me.
That was the boost I needed. I lurched forward, my hand tightened around the Snitch. The crowd went ballistic. I looked at the points and saw we had only just won by ten points. I raced down to the ground and immediately looked around for Ron. I saw him land and we made eye contact.
Unfortunately, masses of Gryffindors had run onto the field, separating us. The seven of us players were hoisted into the air and I looked at Ron who just shrugged and grinned stupidly. After being carried around for a while, Fred announced, "Party in Common Room!" And everyone began making their way back up to the castle. I had lost Ron and Harry, they were at the front of the crowd and must have already been in the Common Room as I was making my way up the Grand Staircase. I met Ginny on the way up. She told me that Fred and George had set up a massive party.
I got to the Common Room and climbed through. There were banners hanging up and cheering and chanting Gryffindors everywhere. There was masses of food and Butterbeer, and it seemed like the whole house was celebrating. Everyone was on a high, and it was definitely contagious. My Snitch necklace started fluttering wildly, and the high from winning the game made me have the sudden urge to find Ron.
I needed to tell him exactly how I felt. Not tomorrow, not next week. I needed to tell him right now.
I looked around the room wildly for Ron, and we finally spotted each other. I didn't care that there were people around, I needed to tell him.
I ran at him wildly and flung myself at him. He seemed shocked but then he immediately picked me up and twirled me around, grinning from ear to ear.
"That was an amazing ca‐"
"I love you."
Ron stopped spinning and just held me. We looked at each other, both shocked at what I had said. People began looking our way. Ron smirked and I felt something hungry roar inside of me.
Ron's lips crashed onto mine as he held me tight. I was slightly shocked but then immediately closed my eyes and moved my lips in sync with Ron's. It felt like my whole body was exploding with passion and joy. Ron picked me up off the floor, not breaking our kiss. It was completely magical.
We broke apart after what felt like weeks. I realised the whole Common Room had gone dead silent.
George whistled, setting off the whole room. They cheered and soon went back to their own celebrations. My face burned. I looked and saw Harry was grinning like an idiot. Ginny rushed up and hugged me quickly, whispering "I give you my blessing," and then hurried back off to join the twins.
I turned back to Ron, who had gone quite red, but was still smiling.
I grinned. I took his hand and pulled him towards the portrait hole, and climbed out with him. We ran giddily together through the castle. Ron turned a corner and found an empty room.
He pulled me in and shut the door. He picked me up and put me down on a desk. I held him close and reignited our kiss.
Finally was all I could think.
"You have no idea how long I waited for this." Ron mumbled into our kiss. I sighed, ruffling up his hair. "But it was bloody worth it."
He moved his hands down to my waist and pulled me in closer. I wrapped my legs around him and deepened the kiss even more. I tugged at his shirt, desperate to get closer. Ron began placing kisses down my neck, and I couldn't help but let out a small sound of pleasure. I cupped his face, and he came back up to meet his lips with mine. He let out a tiny moan, which only made me hungrier for more.
"You know," He mumbled into the kiss sloppily. "When you hit me... it was a bit hot."
"Shut up and kiss me." I moaned. We were tugging on each other's clothes, both desperate to be inseparably close, but I had to pull away.
"Is something wrong?" Said Ron, panting, immediately looking concerned. I ruffled up his hair.
"Nothing." I said, breathing heavily. He quickly went back in for an intense kiss, but I pushed at his chest lightly. He looked confused.
"I just... I don't want to go too fast. I want us to last, not just be a short school fling." I said, shyly. What if he thought I was being stupid?
But he didn't. He smiled.
"I love you too." He whispered.
He scooped me up and we simply snogged slowly and sweetly for what seemed like the rest of the night, breaking out into fits of giggles.
