Day 1 (part two)

We all stand there confused. Scared, anxious and in shock.

I blink multiple times and raise my eyebrows untill Birb approaches me.
"I know he said only one can survive, but can we work together?"
She looks at me with puppy eyes.
I remember the feeling, the feeling that I need to care for her. That I need to protect her. I don't even need to think.
"Let's do this,"

She smiles happily. I feel my heart light up. Like if something is choking my heart, but it's a good feeling. A feeling of ultimate happyness and comfortableness.

O wait, I forgot. We are in a game of death.

Me and Birb decide to team up to explore the building. We leave the others behind.

The building is huge. Now that the lights  have turned on, we can see much father and better.
Behind the clock is a staircase. Its a small concrete one. Next to the staircase are around five crates just lying there.
Me and Birb walk up the stairs into a small hallway. The walls are painted in a beige colour and there is a red carpet layed on the floor. It looks a bit like a hotel. There are 10 doors. All made from oakwood.

On the first door of the left is engraved the name Loki. On the first door of the right is my name engraved. On the second door to the left is Bey and so the list continues.

On the end of the hallway was a text framed.

"Your not allowed to enter anyones dorm. The only time you can enter someones dorm is when they are dead or someone gave you permission."

"Let's see what are in those dorms then," I say smiling to Birb. We first decide to look in my dorm. I give Birb permission to enter.

Its a lightgreen room. It simply has a bed and a closet. The floor is made from grey planks. On the walls is written, "Yoda," in simple bold letters.

 I open my drawer.  It's completly empty except for one thing; It contains a picture. With caution, I pick it up. There are like thirthy people standing there. Looks like middle school class picture, I think bored. They are all standing there in rows just fake smiling. I scan the picture really quick. And there, on the third row I see myself standing there. I look depressed, not going to lie. I have big black puffiness under my eyes and I look bored like if I wanted to die. I almost can't regonise myself. I quikly put the picture back in the drawer before Birb can see it. She smiles at me. "Want to see my dorm?" I nod and follow her. Birb has a dorm all the way to the back. Her dorm is in a lightyellow colour, just like her dress. There stands Birb in a curly handwriting on the wall. She has the same furniture as me.

After we looked through Birb's dorm we went to the main plaza. The other people have left the room. We looked a bit at the plaza. There were two closed doors we couldn't enter and a enormous long hallway.

"Wow," I say laughing. Birb chuckles next to me. There are 4 rooms I can see from here. They all don't have doors. There are two bathrooms, with both doors that will be shut down when the night falls.
We go in the first room to the left. It's a yellow room with a brown wooly carpet. There are two sofos, with the colour beige, and a large table made of glass. There hangs a TV on the wall. The channel is on the news. The rest of the people are sitting in that room, quiet.
Me and Birb walk in and take a spot at the sofa. A girl, her name was Bey I believed smiled sadly at us.
The TV is playing and It's in the middle of news episode. Some words are censored out. It's sometimes just one big bleep.
"Ten Students have been found missing on the ---------------------. There is no lead on the case yet, only that they are only related to one thing. The ----------------------------------------------. "

The news channel then shows our faces, one for one. Under the pictures our names are placed.  And now even with our surnames. "My surname is Styles? For real?" Vaz exclaims shocked whilst pointing to her hoodie.
"Waffle Lolika? What the fuck for surname is that," Waffle says in a joking manner.
"I like Loki's," Birb said friendly. "Buttermilk,"
Loki laughs. "I love how Bagles Surname is Richboi,"
We all discuss our surnames. It's weird to me that I already knew my surname. It's weird in general that I know much more then the rest.
After the news program showed all of our faces, it went black.
"Noooo," Ghost exclaimed bragginly. "I wanted to hear more of what we are," Birb nodded. "I want to know what happenend. Who we are and mostly, why are we here?"
Photon snorts. "Don't wel all?"

After a bit of small talk, me and Birb decide to leave. We walk across the long hallway to the room that would later me called "The Newspaper room."

The room had a scary vibe I have to admit. The walls were made from concrete, unpainted. The floor was also just concrete and unpainted again. The room was completly empty, with only three news articles pinned on the walls.

One was named: Tragedy at Discord High
The second was named: Only 10 survived
And the third was named: Middle School under fire.

I felt a nauseous and an abhorrent feeling in my stomach. I have a feeling this isn't just a random newspaper. I have a feeling this is a key to our story.

The article itself are blurred, we can't read what it's about. We only know the headlines. Me and Birb examine the room, looking for clues or secrets. There is only a vent in the room that we discovered, but that's it.

"Those Headlines are weird, they must have a relation to this all," Birb speculates. I nod. "It does, I think we might be those ten survivors." Birb looks at me with actual concern. "But if we are the survivors, why are we here?" I shrug. Birb bites her lip"To kill of the witnesses?" I shake my head. "Then they would've just slit our necks, no, they are playing a game with us. The killer here is a psychopath truly." Birb smiles sadly. "Only one will survive. Only one." she whispers to herself. I decide not to react.

We walk to the room next to the Newspaper room. It's completly empty. There are only some crates with nothing inside them. "those crates are probably here to hide behind," I say to myself whilst thinking of what will happen in the night.

We then walk to the room that's across the Empty Room. We call it the Locker Room. It has something about thirty lockers. I see then names scrambled upon the lockers. I gesture Birb to come to me. "What?" she asks. I point to a name written on the metal locker. "Camo?" she asks. I shrug. "I don't know who it is, but then I found this." I point to the locker besides it. The name Yoda is carved in it, my name. Birb widens her eyes in shock. "Write all the names down," she orders. I nod and I write all the names down. Some names come to me as familiar, but I can't quite place why. The names Cherry, Camo and Clyve are somehow really familiar. I also notice how the lockers seemed to be ordered in something like past friend groups. Like Bey and Loki's locker stand with Bae's and Kianna's. I frown. We take notes and try to open some. We can't open anyones, not even our own. We try searching for more secrets, but we can't find any.

We go down the hall into a cafeteria. It's literally a cafeteria you would see at a school. There is one long table that has ten chairs around it. "For us," Birb mentions. On a big concrete pole that stands in the middle of the room is a time schedule.

7.00 = Breakfast

12.00 = Lunch

18.00 = Dinner.

"Fair enough," I say no one in particular. Birb walks up to me and stands to side of me. "Guess we missed breakfast." I let out a quick laugh. We found a vent behind the food table but nothing else.

We go to the last room. It's literally a class room. "What the fuck," I say outloud. "I have no idea honey," Birb says. I blush a little at that. I need to remind myself that we are in a game of death, not a high school simulator.

There are six rows of seats, every row having five seats. It was just basic furneture. On the chalkboard something was written.

"The killer is among the ten"

I feel my myself freeze and I get goosebumps. Birb covers her face in shock. I knew the number 10 meant us, us ten. So that meant, that the one who is killing us is one of us ten? "It can't, I can't believe this." Birb says sobbing. "I just want to live a good life," she says shakingly. I walk up to her and begin to comfort her. "Stay strong," I say.

Stay Strong.
