I was running over the fast-paced conveyor belt that was the game for this time, as I tried to dodge large coloured blocks that tried to hit me off. The game was Conveyor Crazy, or so our host called it. It was basically us running over a giant conveyor dodging large blocks and the last one who was on the conveyor won. I looked around for a few seconds to notice who already fell. I can't notice anyone missing, so I keep trying to get to the front of the conveyor belt. I was quite in the lead, but that was part luck as the host placed me quite forward, and people like Photon more to the back. "You have long legs," I heard him say to Photon with a malevolent grin. The large obstacles came from a dark abyss and you need to have quick reflects to dodge those.
As we are running, I feel the conveyor belt speeding up under us. "Fuck you Bagle!" I hear a loud screech from behind me. I quickly turn around, as my curiosity takes lead of me and I see Ghost falling of the conveyor belt into a pit, her curly black hair waving behind the fuming face. The pit was a large box with sort of foam blocks in it, so you don't break your bones. If you fall in the pit, you are out of the game. I turn to face the dark abyss again and try to stay in lead. You can hear when someone's out of the game through a loud scream or a "fuck you," mostly towards Bagle. It was quite hilarious hearing the insults they came up with. "IF I HAD A FACE LIKE YOURS, I WOULD SUE MY PARENTS!" I heard Foxxie yell towards him. Bagle had a murky tactic, that if there was a small opening between two blocks he would turn around and shove the person backwards, mostly resulting into them falling off the conveyor belt. I personally didn't like playing like that, it felt dirty. But still, I didn't know how, but I was far into the lead. Without dirty manners might I add.
Birb, Bagle and me were the only ones left on the conveyor belt, and I felt myself getting tired, but I keep pushing myself. I heard a loud scream for Birb and I see Bagle literally pushing her off. I frown and immediately I feel the conveyor belt speeding up a lot. Probably because me and Bagle are the only one left. Bagle wasn't focused, he was laughing at Birb's drop and through the rapid change he flew off. "AH!" he yelped angrily whilst making a backflip into the pit, tearing his Gucci sweater in the process.
I feel the conveyor belt coming to a stop, and I slower my pace. I begin to smile so widely that it begins to hurt. I won, I thought to myself and I feel myself getting stunned. I sense myself getting light headed of happiness. I don't have to go through the night, I am safe! I think to myself. The conveyor belt stopped and I decided to go sit, my legs are all shaky and shit. The happiness overwhelmed me, and I felt tears forming in my eye corners. I hear the microphone turn on and I turn around to see Mister Curly Hair announcing the winner. He smiles with a fake smile as he looks to me with wicked eyes.
"And Vaz Styles won Conveyor Crazy!" He announces with a booming voice. I hear my friends cheer me on. I look down to the pit and see them smiling cheerily. Bagle looks livid and makes an offensive gesture towards me. I stick out my tongue and return the favour.
Back at the facility, we all went to the chill room to discuss the events of the game. Photon hit me twice on my shoulder and made my hair messy. I playfully punched him and he laughed. Photon's a good guy, I thought. Birb hugged me which I awkwardly laughed at. O my god, I hate hugs. We began to sit, Waffle and Birb to my side and Foxxie began to attack Bagle. "Bagle what the fuck was that?" she yelled at him. Bagle shrugged. "I played the game Foxxie, im not here to make friends." I frown at that. I hear Waffle flinch a bit at that sentence, as I have seen those two pretty close together. Foxxie narrows her eyes and furrows her eyebrows. "Still, pushing off people? Like play it a bit fair," she says livid. Bagle rolls his eyes. "It's not like anybody will know, only one will survive." I bite my lip. "Well, it didn't get you anywhere Bagle, because you didn't win." I say spitefully.
Bagle looks at me furiously. He quickly stands up, his chin lifted in the air. "Goodluck dying," he said under his breath. He walked away with big paces. Waffle nervously lifted his hand in the air, "I'm gonna speak to him," he says quietly before storming away.
Bagle didn't show up for dinner. Not like he missed anything; we were mostly quiet. When you lose all your memories, you don't have fun stories to tell or anything.
We were sitting at the white plastic dinner table, having some stupid dinner I have never seen before. It was like mashed potatoes or something but orange. Like what the fuck. It was okay though, it was eatable.
Around 23.00, I was ordered to go to my room. I waved everyone goodbye, told Birb to survive to night or I would slap her and went off to my dorm.
I totally agreed with Photon on this matter, I hated staying here. I mean, I am safe from the hunters, but the feeling of not knowing what was going on drained me.
I first walked around and spinned a few times before sitting on my bed staring to the ceiling. I was laying there for maybe ten minutes before I remembered I have a diary left to read. I walked to my drawer and grabbed the black diary with the Initials: I.V, barely visible. The I looked like a Í, but who's name starts with that?
I open the diary, and only a few pages are written in. Like someone was like: "Yes I'm going to start a diary!" and then doesn't have the motivation to actually do so. The first page was that the person writing this felt terrible and that live doesn't seem worthy to live. Kind of depressed. They then wrote that they got a girlfriend, so I'm assuming it's a dude. He sounded so happy with her, telling the diary that's she is another person outside of school and that she puts up a fake character to be safe or something. There is one blank page afterwards, and then one sentence. "It's all going,". I sigh in frustration. "Don't be so fucking cryptic just tell what you are going to do!" I whisper to the diary. I flip through all the other pages until I get to the centre. "Boom," was written in a small handwriting. "Boom?" I exclaimed. I widen my eyes. It was just like Loki had written. "the 'accident' wasn't an accident."
The person that wrote this diary did something horrible that was the origin of this game.
