Thanks for all the reads, once again! ß This must be getting rather repetitive, but honestly all your support is what’s getting me through this story. Please don’t hesitate to comment and vote, you guys probably have way more experience than me with this and your comments will only make my story way better! Thanks!
ALSO heads up I want to change the title of this story to “Antitrust” which has two meanings, both in business (preventing monopolies in the economy) and the most obvious interpretation which is “not to trust.” SO when I publish the next chapter (Part 7) please search for “Antitrust” and NOT “Mergers and Acquisitions.” Sorry for the inconvenience, but honestly Mergers and Acquisitions is quite a mouthful, amirite? Thanks again for your patience!
I remember waking up sometime in between, at around five in the morning. It was still pitch black outside, and I was lying in soft white sheets with my head rested on a very muscular arm, my hand resting on rock-hard, naked abs. And then I was out like a light once again, for another five hours.
When I woke up at ten, the sun was shining brightly through the roman shades. My head was still throbbing from last night’s events, and I felt a nerve in my neck twitch. I slowly sat up in my bed, when I realized it wasn’t my bed. It was Jay’s. I also realized all I was wearing was a linen cream-colored waffle weave bathrobe, and practically nothing underneath other than my La Senza lingerie. Did Jay take advantage of the situation last night?!
I looked to my right at the bedside table and saw a ceramic vase full of fresh peonies, a cup of hot tea, and a note from Jay that read: Be back soon ~J. Since the cup was still hot, that meant Jay only left the condo around five to ten minutes ago. I started to sip the tea. My hangover immediately started to disappear, and my senses awakened once again. I now could make out the soft jazz music playing in the background.
I heard a click of the door and knew Jay was back.
“Morning beautiful” he said, as he walked in, holding two large dress bags. Jay looked casual, and was wearing a navy henley with khakis and Sperry boat shoes. He even wore a pair of prescription Ray Bans that made him look ten times smarter than usual. I guessed he wore contacts on a regular basis. “I was getting our clothes from last night dry cleaned.”
“Um. Is that the reason why I’m not wearing any clothes right now?”
“You’re in a bathrobe...”
“This doesn’t count as clothing…” I said, giving him a confused look.
“You threw up all over your dress last night, did you really want to sleep in that?” Oh, that explains it.
“But, we didn’t…right.”
“Seriously? Do I look that perverted to you?” he said, one eyebrow raised.
“Do you really blame me for wondering? It’s not every day that I wake up in a bed other than mine half naked.”
“True, I guess I don’t blame you. But if I wanted to take advantage of you, I already would have. I think you know me better than that.” That was true. So far, Jay didn’t seem as much of a douche as I actually thought he was initially. “Also your friend Nina called my cellphone and the landline about fourteen times each. I think you better call her back.” He tossed his iPhone at me.
