It was mid-afternoon by the time my internal clock woke me up. The apartment was empty, Liam having left a note on the counter.
Early rehearsal, be back around 3, sorry there's no food I can't cook.
I smiled shaking my head at the note. There was infact no food in the fridge. A single lemon, a block of cheese and a half full milk bag. Yeah, that was going to change soon.
I changed into some jean shorts and a loose top grabbing my phone and wallet. I was starving having not eaten in almost a full day, besides I needed a job.
After some A+ navigation I found a small cafe and ordered some coffee and some breakfast. The coffee filled my body with warmth and relieved a small headache at the tip of my brow.
Bella had texted me a few times last night, I had kept the One Direction part of my life away from the girls I met. They were all slightly obsessed and an irrational fear in me wanted to keep this special part of my life all to myself. It was stupid and selfish but to me they were normal guys, to Bella and her friends they were celebrities. They wouldn't understand.
I'm already in England, see you in the fall
I joked but only partially. I was sure we would chat infrequently throughout the summer, and it was important to keep up friendships so I'd have something to do in senior year. I had never stayed in one place so long, and the security of a friend group was something that I had started to love.
I glanced around the cafe, it was fancier then the Beechwood I had worked at, but it would be nice to work here. The small sign in the front of the cafe advertised a job and so once I built up my courage I returned to the counter.
"Hi" a boy greeted warmly he glanced at the papers in my hand and then at the sign.
"You here to apply for the job?" he asked.
"Uh... yep. Here's my resume and cover letter" I said handing it over the high counter.
"Wow, really thick. You look way to young to have a track record this long" he replied his eyes travelling up my body. I did look particularly young, it was something that I hated.
I shrugged, "I guess you could say I'm experienced"
"I'll bet. I'll give this to my manager, but if your as good as your papers say you are I'd be expecting a call" he winked.
I felt a little blush crawl up my cheeks at the wink. "Thanks!".
I left the cafe a little bounce in my step. Once I got a job I'd be a bit more independent, and show my mother that she was wrong.

"So you're up sleeping beauty" Zayn commented slamming into Liam's apartment. It was slightly confusing seeing as how he was not Liam but nonetheless he toppled onto the couch and switched on the television.
"Look, were up there" he said pointing to the box. I walked over and leaned on the back of the couch. A lady was interviewing them, "this was today?" I asked him.
He shook his head, "nah, couple days ago they had to edit it 'n all- Hey Niall, look the interview's up!" he yelled as Niall also entered the apartment. Why everybody was in here was beyond me.
"I hate watching these, it's weird" Niall complained but he arrived next to me and also watched. The lady ran them through general questions and then brought up girls. Harry had always been asked about girls, even on the x-factor. It obviously bothered me, but it bothered him as well.
