There was still an air of tension thick in the car as we sped back to the bungalow. When we arrived the first thing I noticed was a familiar van in the driveway.

"What?" I stumbled out as we exited the car. Louis was here? He didn't answer only walked me up to the door and gave it a loud bang. After a few moments of waiting the door swung open eagerly revealing 4 boys.

"Happy birthday!" the exclaimed smiling lighting up their faces.

"I wanted to surprise you for your birthday tomorrow" Harry said, unenthusiastically. Suddenly everything made sense. Thats why he was being so secretive with the texts, he knew I was anxious about them and the other boys thought he should tell me.

This made me even more of a horrible person.

"Well, don't look so happy to see us" Louis said at the lack of excitement. Breaking out of my head for a moment I leaned in and hugged him.

"I am, I was just surprised is all" I said taking a second to hug all the boys. "This is so sweet guys, really,"

We made our way inside, the cabin already much messier than it was when I left it.

"Well don't you look disheveled" Liam commented holding up my messy ponytail. I swatted it out of his hands,

"Shut up, Liam" I whined embarrassed at the comment.

"Yeah, shut up Lima" Louis added an evil smile spreading across his face. Liam just scowled at him before stalking away to where Zayn and Niall were fighting over the television remote.

"Take it easy Lou" Harry warned suddenly reminding me of his presence beside me. I watched as his eyes followed Liam with worry.

"He's such an uppity twat sometimes" Louis fired back, "you know the git was on me arse the whole drive about 'road safety', what bullshit, the boy can't even drive"

Harry shot him a look, eyebrows raised and I wondered how often Louis and Liam fought. I had seen them bicker but Harry seemed to be the mediator. Louis surprisingly backed down.

"Fine, I'll be nicer. But don't be on me about my business when you two obviously have things to discuss" Louis replied. Before either of us could open our mouths to reciprocate he was throwing himself on the couch to join the remote wrestle.

"I'm sorry" I blurted out turning so my chest bumped Harry's, I hadn't realized he was so close to me.

"I know you are" he replied, his eyes refused to meet mine, instead they were trained on the boys. "If they break my step-dads tele i'll kill them".

Frustrated I pulled his face towards me, "your hands are cold" he whined squirming from the grasp.

"Can we please go talk somewhere?" I asked him. After another look at the boys he lead me to the backyard where we had first met a year ago.

"Okay..." he said somewhat bashfully.

"I am so sorry I didn't tell you, I fucked up. I really, really fucked up. With everything, with the phone and the distrust- which, I'm not excusing but you can see why I was so stressed out- especially about the whole-"

"-running away to England? Your mother probably hates me now" he interrupted me. There was no anger in his voice, nor in mine just a sense of awkwardness. We had never argued like this before.

"she does, for sure" I admitted nodding my head.

"Oh, why would you tell me that!" Harry exclaimed his voice going up an octave higher as he threw his hands into the air.
