Chapter Twenty Five(Lost)
Third Person's POV

~•~

She was mortified.

He was leaning towards her, his gray eyes closed and his lips kissing hers.
The kiss was so....meaningful.
He was thanking her through the kiss. For believing in him, for her one hell of those words. He kissed her without thinking. The way she was speaking to him, telling him all those words, he couldn't control.

She closed her eyes and her hands automatically went to his shoulder and his hair.
He was trying to convey his gratitude through that kiss and-

Sudden thud and then Shuffle of Cloak's made them break their little "moment" and they alarmingly looked around them.

"Did you hear that?"

"Yeah, someone was here. "

Both of them stood up to their feet , looking around for any signs of intruder.
"Who might it be?"

"I dont know, but-" Hermione paused mid sentence as something seemed to click in her.

"To the library, quick" She muttered and rushed downstairs,  Draco following behind her.

The pair entered the brightly lit room.
Hermione rushed to where she had kept the book and her translations.  Her shoulders tensed and her eyes screamed dread.

"Whats the matter, Hermione?"

"The book."
"Its gone"

Draco's eyes considerably widened.
"Shit" He cursed running a hand through his hair .

A figure draped in black hood apparated in the dense forest, her hands clutching the ancient book and the fresh translations. After casting a warming spell around her, she eagerly opened the book, as soon as she did, the familiar voice spoke. Repeating what she already heard and also adding some more at the end.
She regretted not learning Latin now, thankfully, her smart ass of a sister had actually translated it , she let her gaze roam all over the translated Prophecy and with each passing second, her eyes widened and her hands shook.

It wasnt possible. It couldn't be true.
Could it?

It wasn't often that Jean Granger let her emotions get the best of her. But things had been really, hectic lately, and she couldnt control it.
She let the tears fall as she stared at her husbands photograph, her heart clenching every now and then.
He was gone, her husband was gone, one of her daughter was stolen from and she hated her and her another daughter was struggling to make her life normal for once.
Her father was still selfish and was determined to make both of her daughters suffer. The old her would be shocked at how her father could do that,  for an heir.  But she wouldn't, not now, not after everything she's seen and experienced.

She could only hope for the best . For her daughters to stay strong and make it all okay.

Draco and Hermione sat in the spacious living room, Draco watching her fumble through the books.
It was a worrying situation but Draco didn't know what was wrong with him. He couldn't care less about anything as long as she was there. Maybe this was what love feels like.

Wow, Draco thought.
He was really in love with Hermione Granger. It still felt like a dream.
This happened so fast.

"Draco are you even listening to me?" Her voice brought him out of his trance.

"Uhm I'm sorry, What were you saying? "

"Honestly Draco, I've noticed you've been zoning out a lot lately. What's wrong with you?"

"Oh its just nothing Hermione,  I uhm just got lost....in ..thoughts. What were you...saying?"
Shit, no he was stuttering.

"Oh Godric Draco, seriously, what's wrong? "

"I know exactly what's wrong!" Came a voice causing Draco to roll his eyes.

"Do let me know Blaise" He stated narrowing his eyes at his Italian friend.

"Shall I?" He smirked at Draco causing him to scoff.

"Shut up"
Draco said once again rolling his eyes at his best friend.

"Whats up Hermione?"

"I tried searching for the book all over the manor. It's really gone. They know about the Prophecy. They have the book and the translations too." Hermione said in a panicked voice.

"How did they manage to get inside the wards. It's impossible to enter the manor without ward."Blaise asked sitting on the couch.

"Thats the question. It's impossible to enter without someone allowing them access. " Draco said.

Hermione let out a sigh.
"We need to stop worrying about this now. They already have the Prophecy. We need to start thinking about how to stop them from fulfilling it."

Draco nodded.
.
.
.
As soon as Hermione left the room, Blaise smirked and looked at Draco.
"What Blaise?" Draco asked in a monotone voice.

"Soo. ..any improvement?"

"On?"

"On you and Hermione, duh"

"Whatever you are talking about."
"Dont act coy Draco. You know what Im talking about. It's written all over your face."

Draco gulped. Was it that obvious?
"What do you mean?"

Balise rolled his eyes.
"Draco, It's love isn't it?"

"I-Uhm, what?"
"You love her don't you?"

"Do I make it that obvious? "
His friend shrugged.

"I know that expression you have when she's in the same room. Like you don't give a shit about anything as long as she is there."

Damn, he was actually voicing his thoughts.

"Woah, you are really in love." Blaise added afterwards with a horrified expression.

Draco just shrugged.
he couldn't believe it either.
