A/N:

This was just a random prompt that popped into my head one day. I haven't done any direct Aru x Aiden yet, mainly just as romantic side plots. So after turning the idea around in my head I thought, "Why not?"

"Aiden?!"

Aru opened the museum door to a sheepish-looking Aiden, who was scratching the back of his head nervously.

"Hey Shah, sorry about coming on a late notice! I need a favor from you and -", he started before Aru cut him off.

"Okay, first off Wifey, you came on no-notice. Second, this better be a worth-while favor, because I am not posing for you and Shadowfax again. That was so degrading!", she exclaimed, crossing her arms. "Now get to the point!"

"I would have if you didn't interrupt me . . . But anyway, I need your help! I can't babysit an ifant on my own, let alone a 7 kids!", Aiden groused, throwing his hands in the air.

The reincarnation of Arjuna blinked at him before sighing, and stepping aside. "I have a feeling that this has a long story behind it. Want to come inside?"

With a jittery Aiden properly situated on the couch and Aru with her therapy notepad (she had started using a small notepad when Mini, Nikita, and Rudy had come to her with their problems. Hence the name), they were ready to begin.

Aiden placed his glass of water on the side table and took a deep breath. "Okay. So today, my mom came into my room announcing that she was going to have a girl's day out with her friends. What I didn't know was that she had apparently recommended me as a babysitter to her 3 other friends. Now I have to take care of 7 kids, two of which are toddlers, and one a baby! Plus, my mom and her friends are going out for a whole afternoon from 2:00 to 6:00! And what if-"

"Aiden, you're rambling", Aru cut him off. Tossing her already filled notepad to the floor, she grabbed her friend's shoulders and looked him in the eyes. Ignoring the warmth blooming in the pit of her stomach, she spoke to him in what she hoped was a strict tone.

"What exactly do you need help with? And why did you come to me of all people! Remember my plant-sitting fiasco?" Aiden did indeed remember, though it was more because of the "smolder incident" as he dubbed it. Pushing away the embarrassing memory, the pandava-adjacent answered Aru.

"Well Brynne is celebrating her uncle's birthday, Mini is studying for a test that she's super stressed about, I don't trust Rudy (but who does), and the twins are too young", Aiden listed, counting off his fingers.

"So you came to me because I was the only option left?", Aru accused, raising an unimpressed eyebrow. The boy across from her sighed. "To be honest Shah, sometimes you're like a child yourself."

The demigod held a hand up to her chest and fake-gasped. "Well, just because I'm more intresting than some, doesn't mean you have to start insulting me!", she said with false hurt. But in the end, she could she were Aiden was getting at. Heck, even Serrilyn wasn't sure if Aru was actually 15!    A/N- For timeline purposes, both Aru and Aiden are in high school~

But too be fair, Aiden did look pretty pathetic slumped over on her sofa. "All right because I'm a kind and generous person, I'll help you wrangle some kids", Aru said pompously. Aiden's head snapped up from the ground.

"But! On three conditions that have to be followed!", she continued, lifting three fingers into the air. Now it was Aiden's turn to look skeptical. "I'm listening . . .", he said warily.

A/N:

I have no idea how long this will turn out to be, so I just made a short part one. Honestly, this was so completely out of the blue that in the beginning I just sat and stared at my computer thinking, "What now?". I hope I didn't do too bad; as for my other stories, I usually have a plot-like shape floating around in my head. Last but not least, I would like to thank you on all the previous views I've gotten so far. It helps to know that I am entertaining some people!
